The renovations they done are incredible. The fact that the seats recline in normal cinemas are enough to blow me away. The cinemas are now smaller so you get a better view of the screen and it means more leg and seat room.

Great Hoyts cinema after the recent renovation. It has extreme screen cinema & two ticket machines on top of the usual cashier ticket. All cinemas are fitted with leather recliner chairs, bigger seating area.

Been here twice now .. on both occasions the xtreme screen cinema was hot like a sauna. Turn down the heating please.

Although the new "recliner" seats only move a few inches, they are more comfortable, easier to clean so probably cleaner because workers actually clean them.

"Reclining" seats? Did Hoyts Watergardens stuff up the order and install the wrong seats? A barely 30° angle is not reclining. After experiencing the excellent reclining seats at Eastland and Chadstone, everyone be warned THESE ARE NOT RECLINING SEATS. Extremely unhappy.

Clean, well run local movie centre. Looks like they are updating some of the facilities and theatres.

Pretty good Hoyts. I prefer the cinemas at Melbourne Central, but Watergardens has free parking which makes for a much cheaper night out.

    Where to begin?

The food has no prices on the menu so It's anyone's guess what they're extorting for a medium box of pop corn and a coke.

The tickets apparently have seating allocations. With no ushers or anyone caring about which seat they got randomly assigned, you end up with people arguing in the theater for 10 minutes and asking everyone to move around (this actually happened and shows the incompetency of the theater).

The place was beyond dirty, the chairs were as crooked as a donkey's teeth and my feet were glued to the floor the entire time.

I almost had to walk out and call a suicide prevention number just to get through the miserable night that Hoyts Watergardens provided.

    The movie was okay though.

    Review of Kathy K's Review:

Kathy complains that a cinema chain is responsible for her parenting and seems to believe that Hoyts is responsible for film classification.

PG means parental guidance and you should know how your child will react, plus you should spend 2 minutes researching a film before watching.

Her daughter being afraid of something is part of childhood and should not reflect an opinion of a cinema.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    Pros: Entertaining read
Cons: Poor grammar, random tangent and no mention of film title.

    2 stars for Kathy.
