Beautifully restored temple..very worthwhile visit
The experience was incredibly educational to know that of Aussie/Chinese heritage.
A must see. The guided tours are most informative. We all should learn a little about our local history.
Even the National Trust rate this building as their most significant building in Queensland. The jewel in the crown. Last of more than 100 chinese bush temples in Australia. All others are made of brick. Unique in many ways.
Great piece of history in Atherton. Well worth taking the time to look at this temple at Athertons Chinatown.
Great historical place to visit and has an art gallery and beautiful gardens with seating amongst the trees . You are able to look to the west and take in mount baldie ranges which is a national park . Part of the building where the gallery is located was the old atherton post office.
This is well worth a visit. The lines of the corrugated iron and timber make this a beautiful and picturesque building and the local history is interesting. Unfortunately we got there so late in the day that our tour was rushed but the guide generously gave us extra time.
