The setting to this restaurant is stunning. It was peaceful and serene. Service was exceptional. We had a very friendly waitress who was welcoming and funny. Some of the meal were a hit. The Lamb shanks and the octopus salad went down well. Some of our fish and meat wasn't cooked to order. Bangers weren't very appealing and the roast potatoes were rock hard. The chips tasted like they'd been refried several times. It felt like some items may have been prepared days in advance. It would really benefit if they made improvements in the kitchen but I guess they usually just cater to the casual snacks that the golfers order.
In saying all of this, it was still a lovely experience and I'd take my folks back for the lamb shanks.

Had lunch here today.
My advise is to take the Risotto off the menu.
It was tasteless, watery and did not even look like a risotto.
It was just watery rice.
I thank the waitress for offering us another meal and giving us a free drink.

Pro shop staff are really good here. Quick to help with any inquiry and you don't have a long wait to pay and get on the course. Rounds are very reasonably priced.

Groundsmen are excellent too, knowing when to keep out the way, and they do a brilliant job of keeping the course well tended.

My only grip would be the number of unfixed divot marks in the greens, - mainly on the front 9.

Not as good as I hoped. I had heard so good things about this place and its food but I have to say I was a little disappointed. I took the wife and son there for a Mothers day dinner with a pre-set menu. The dinner room was very much like a bland RSL dinning room and food was just OK. Not bad but nothing to write home about. If I ever go there again it wont be for the set menu. The views of the grounds are breath taking though. I need to go back there for a round of golf one day.
