Staff that is not helpful sends you through the rain to pay for a key.no alcohol allowed so it looks like a graveyard. Rooms are not special but you pay full price. Please continue looking for a proper hostel
This hostel is the worst of all. You can't even bring your own alcohol and the bed is a pain in your back. If you want a good hostel this one isn't the one you should go.
Nice room, good staff and great location.
Had drinks with some mates who were staying there. Seemed alright, they don't allow you to drink your own alcohol there though, even on the balcony, so we had to hide in one of the rooms. It seemed alright though, had single beds not bunks, and was reasonably big.
Staffs are so friendly. The kitchen and bathroom are cleaned every day. There is no window in our room. Because the building was a plaza . We stayed in an office.
The only problem for me, music is so loudly. Speakers are so close to rooms. You can't take a nap . Don't expect hotel's rooms. Because it's a backpackers hostel.
Extremely basic. Rundown. Place was dirty, plays music throughout the lodging until 10:30pm every night. No blankets on beds: sheets only. Large shared kitchen. Smelled moldy and like cigarette smoke.
Arrived to a dirty room with broken a/c and no windows to vent the stale, hot air. Bed was a mess with a nasty looking pillow from the last person still on it.
Second room has been better. Having a working air conditioner and more than a tiny 30cm fan to move the air makes all the difference.
better than a lot of small hostels in Cairns city
Super cool hostel. Really big, a lot of life going on. Location is great as well. The best thing is the amazingly friendly staff.
I stayed at this hostel for 4 weeks and in that time I noticed the increase of cleaning and sanitation of the hostel. This is a great hostel with a large kitchen and big area for socializing. The workers who work there are great people and you even get to know the boss, Simon. I recommend this hostel to anyone who wants a good sociable hostel that doesn't hurt the wallet.
It's just 15$ per Night in the cheapest rooms. The air condition in my room did not working and there was no window in the room. Except of that everything is fine! Unfortunately the pool on the roof isn't opened anymore.
The location of the hostel is perfect and prices are fair. Also the room as well as the bathroom were clean. There is an outdoor dining area, but I would appreciate more places to sit inside. The kitchen lacked the basic utensils, pots, pans etc.
They organize cool activities like goon pong and have some dinner and drink deals with local pubs
