Tookon the Wagu ferd me option. Didn't feel rushed, good tine spacing between meals and good portions. Cocktails were delicious.

If I could give it 6 stars I would. I could go there every day of the week. Delicious. Everything on the menu is delicious and perfectly cooked and presented.

After making a reservation one week prior was still taken to sit at the bar to have dinner was disappointing so staff arranged a table when it became available. Food was good but not great,well over priced for what you got. I can't see myself going back, there is far better restaurants in some of these laneways in Melbourne

Have been here on many occasions but not in a long while. Attended a private function and had a shared banquet. Lots of food and everything was tasty and of a really consistent quality.

Unfortunately we were quite disappointed at the quality and flavour of the food. We wanted to eat here for a long time and it also has been recommended by a few people - either we came on a bad day or it is a overrated place.
Cocktails were very standard and so was the food. The Old Fashioned which is normally my pick in a nice cocktail bar was for some reason sweet - way too sweet.
Staff was very very friendly and helpful with getting us a seat even we haven't had a reservation.
Sorry but I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend this place to a friend.
Best dish was probably the pork belly which was unfortunately soaked in a very sweet plum sauce that was overpowering :/response / report this review -

Brilliant service, amazing food and drink! Definitely not cheap, but we had such a great time - the banquet was incredible, waiter's recommendations were perfect; desserts were especially delightful!

Food was good but not great given the price. Nice ambience and great service staff. Curries are the highlight for me, with the rendang and duck curry really exquisite. The dessert platter was a nice touch. Not sure if I'd come back if it's still as expensive with the same quality. Amex accepted. Booking needed. Sitting on a plastic stool all night for a $200 meal (for 3) didn't feel right either.

Always a favourite. Have a seat at the bar upstairs, order the banquet and have the bartender make you cocktails to your liking.

Bartender whipped up a delicious drink while we waited for a seat. San Choy Bau was unlike any other I've had around anywhere. I wish the mini burgers were just a bit bigger though, the flavour punch was immense. Wait staff very friendly and courteous. Delicious.
