I don't normally leave bad reviews but I had such a bad experience with Giffen Furniture removals I'd say this one has been earnt.

Booking to have my furniture picked up and stored was extremely easy and cost effective, it was just under $400 and was quoted an hourly fee. I stored my things with them for just over a year and had no problems until it came time for delivery. Every time I called to arrange delivery I was told I would get a call back to confirm details but the call never came. This happened 4 times. Then there is the issue of the cost, they tried to charge me $1200 which included the last month of storage which I did not use in full. I complained that this was over a 100% markup and I was not made aware that delivery would be a flat fee and not an hourly fee like when my things were picked up. I understand that with the economic changes we are facing that there was going to be an increase, but this was WAY over the market value of the services provided. The removalists drove less than an hour to my place and back and were at my place for 50 minutes yet is cost me nearly $700. Ontop of that when they came to pick up my stuff they sent three people and when they dropped it off they sent 2.

The time of delivery was changed the day before and they were late the day of. They didn't call me to let me know.I had to call them.

It has been just over 2 weeks since my things were dropped off and I have now realised that some of my posessions are missing. I contacted them to advise them and my email was ignored and I was sent another invoice for another month of storage even though I no longer have storage with them.

I feel like I have been robbed and will not be recommending this company to anyone and I am gutted that I have lost possessions that will cost hundreds of dollars to replace and were symbolically important.

Going with this company cost me a lot.

Sunny and his co work mateLeihton were very very professional in delivering my bed and couch today, they took their time , were very cautious making sure no damages happened and they are just are very good at their job. However the company itself Giffen needs to sort its logistic better and communicate with its staff members and customers more effective, Leisha from their customer service dept needs a retraining as her manners is appalling. She is 1/5 star when it came to organising the delievery of my items , communicating to me and her delivery team and she has zero acknowledgment or empathy for stuffing for up my delievery 2 days in a row. The 5 star only applies to Sunny and his coworker leighton , but overall the company is 1star.

I used Giffen to backload furniture from Northern Beaches Sydney to Redcliffe. Joel and Jack were great to deal with and some expert driving from Jack to negotiate the alley ways of the storage facility in Sydney.
Joel and TJ arrived at Redcliffe to unload my things. Again great to deal with and the job was done quickly and efficiently with no issues - everything arriving just as it left including the family heirloom china cabinet
I’ve always heard it’s stressful and costly to move interstate but these guys made it easy and backloading is an excellent option if you are flexible with dates

There are no words that can express how GREAT Giffen Furniture Removals are at their job. I had a massive job that needed both pre-packing all of my entire household belongings as well as move them all to the new place (all in a few days). The team were amazing. The customer service team were super prompt, keeping me informed of timings and then the pre-packers and removalists themselves were very thorough. They took extreme attention to detail with their packing and made sure everything was handled with care. They individually wrapped all of our kitchen goods and padded all our fragile items to the maximum. They used high strength boxes and it was evident how much caution was used when packing all our items. They made what was supposed to be a stressful event, totally the opposite. It was a fun experience. They truly understood the challenges of moving home and they made it really easy to do so. They had little bits of advice for certain things that made the process 100x better than I had expected. They are very hard working, go above and beyond and are the best at what they do. A very pleasant experience and worth every cent. The highest of praise and recommendations to Giffen Furniture Removals. A++++!!

I chose Giffen over a number of other removal business I had contacted and dealt with Chris and Jo at all times. I found them quick to respond and always helpful. Stay in touch with them as the move gets closer and ask the questions you need answered so as to be assured that everything is going as planned. They were spot on time to move our goods and delivered them interstate the next day, quicker than I expected. The men doing the move were courteous, quick, and helpful. The price was competitive and I was delighted with the overall service from Giffen. I can't fault Giffen. They are definitely a company you can trust.

Had a reasonably complicated task of getting a 1-off custom made solid stone tub up a flight of stairs and into position. I was dreading it, actually, there was a lot that could have gone wrong. I got several quotes for the job, these guys were the fastest to respond and the most reasonably priced (although not cheap by any means, but definitely fair). They arrived with a huge amount of fire-power, were highly professional, friendly, and efficient. Nice guys. They achieved the task with ease and were extremely careful nothing was damaged. They stuck to their quoted price. I will absolutely use Giffen in future for any moving services I need and I highly recommend them to you also.

Chris and Zachary made our move so simple for us. They were very friendly, followed our instructions and made sure our furniture was placed in the correct rooms at the other end. They were punctual and didn't waste any of our time. I can highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Recently had them do a move for from Brisbane. They insisted all my expensive power tools go in boxes even though I advised they needed to be carried loose.

Here is the result.

- Grease stains on corners of couch
- Damaged scroll saw
- Damaged drill press
- Compressor had the drain valve snapped off and I specifically told them to be careful with it.
- Brand new LG fridge now has 3 dents and scrapes from straps.
Far from impressed.

I do not recommend Giffen removals at all.
