Amazing dining experience here at Gemelle. We booked a table and were seated and ordered drinks straight away. They have a cool Samsung tablet to show you what each dish looks like on the menu before you order it. The place filled up to capacity very quickly after that, and they also had a function on at the same time. The staff handled it amazingly and got to everyone while they were absolutely slammed. The kitchen was getting everything out without much delay and everything tasted amazing. Would recommend the duck gnocchi and lamb neck but imagine everything tastes as good as it sounds.

Best in the west. Good quality ingredients, not played with too much. Laid back service with a bit of a formal feel. Really friendly warm space. I'm a chef, and cook fine dining italian food for a living. I wouldn't normally eat food similar to what I cook, as is frequently disappointing. I'm happy to eat here frequently, never had a bad meal, kitchen is flexible and happy to help out fussy pricks like myself. Love the place.

The experience started at 5 stars but dwindled down to a 3 the longer we stayed.
Service at the start was good but left much to be desired towards the end of our meal with plates unchanged and finished dishes not removed.
Paper was used to line the tables, however the underlying linen was dirty.
Food was good but not amazing. Dessert took awhile and we could not get attention from the wait staff. Calamari and muscles were their best dishes.
Shared dishes came with cheap tongs which didn't function properly and kept flicking food everywhere. Reminder to self: "its Liverpool after all."response / report this review -

Had my daughters christening reception at Gemelle, the staff were fantastic and they were very flexible with everything my wife asked and wanted,
The food was great and all our guests including ourselves had a great time!

Celebrated our wedding Anniversary last night 28/3/2017 at Gemelle. From the moment we walked in we were well looked after. The food was so tasty. Loved it. Then when I ordered a dessert, (creme brulée) Happy Anniversary was written on the plate with chocolate. What a delightful surprise. Thank you. We will be back.

Very disappointing, waiter forgot to bring special birthday candle even though told it was a birthday celebration. Very upset patron. Food was good but doesn't make up for upsetting birthday girl
