We didn't stay here but had the lovely experience of enjoying really good coffee, breakfasts and a treat or two in the coffee shop downstairs. It was our go to café during our April holiday stay in Airlie Beach. Fusion is conveniently located in Main Street and serves sensational food. From breakfasts to Tapas everything is delicious. The staff are always friendly and provide excellent customer service.

A delicious local café in Airlie Beach. Their menu is reasonably priced and varied. A lovely spot to stop for lunch. Great food and they also make really good coffee. The staff are really friendly and provide great customer service. This café is conveniently located in the main shopping centre where there are lots of other shopping delights to tempt you as well.

Was in Airlie for 2 days for work and had breakfast here for both days, loved the food and the coffee was great. Even had Portuguese chocolate salami dessert.. Service was very warm and welcoming. Tiago the owner was very nice and friendly. Will definitely return again!

From snow to the tropics, this place has got to be my favorite so far. Awesome food, great service and unique atmosphere. Waitress told me the new owners only started in March and went through Cyclone debby but survived, reopened and are growing. They seemed very busy and wait on food was super quick compared to some Melbourne Cafes, pricing also seemed cheap compared to a couple of places in Airlie Beach so far. Thanks again for great breakfast and awesome coffee, better than our coffee back home. Highly recommend and I'll be back again.

April 2017: New Garum (Old Fusion) completely transformed. Good food, good price, hot and quick!
Old Fusion: Hot food comes out cold, we had iced coffee and chocolate. No cream, ice cubes in milk. Cheap shortcut effort, Melbourne prices not Melbourne Quality.

Waited 1 hour for a salad and flatbread, missing ingredients and noisy people.

I spent a few days at Fusion a few months ago and left glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. I had seen the dreadful review by a woman called Taylor Maree but, for me, the tone of it seemed out of place among the positive reviews on Trip Advisor.

Given the claims by this woman, I phoned the owner to ask about parking and about how the rooms compared to the photographs. Parking was no issue but has to be booked in the busier times. She confirmed that the rooms had only recently been refurnished and that she had taken the photographs herself.

Sure enough, when I arrived, parking onsite was no problem and my apartment looked exactly as per the picture, apart from the flowers of course. Given that an apartment can cost as little as $90+gst, it hardly surprised me that they aren't decked out in flowers.

It turned out that Taylor Maree had posted a similar review on Trip Advisor who had removed it on the grounds that it was defamatory. It seems that Google has no such facility.

Taylor Maree's claims of the brand new sliding doors magically locking itself was apparently ruled out as a possibility by the locksmith who installed the locks.

The owners were delightful to my friends and me, and lots of other reviews carry the same sentiment. For these hotel owners to cancel a guest's stay and lose income, there had to be more to this story than Taylor Maree claims. It seems that there is, including but not limited to her foul mouth.

I guess we should be careful when reading reviews that are so vastly different from the usual and be aware of malicious reviews by some vindictive customers.

Coffee was super fresh and the special of the day was delicious. It was nice to watch the rain from the protection of the outdoor patio while listening to a good playlist! Casual atmosphere and attentive waitresses.

Went here with a few friends. Waited over 30minutes for a Carmel milkshake, over 1hour for bacon on toast. Very unorganised. Extremely slow very very disappointing. UNDERSTAFFED. Will not be returning and suggest AVOID.
