Quiet and very clean, this small hotel was pleasant to stay in and recently renovated. Staff were efficient to check in and check out. Pleas be aware you need to provide a $150 deposit at check in.
Entrance to the lobby is tucked away down a side street and can be a little tricky to locate. Staff are very hospitable. Check in and out process was seamless. The building is far from spacious, but rooms are adequate with plenty of amenities and supplied toiletries. I find the decor and odd, inconsistent fluorescent lighting a little disjointed and the choice of furniture and quality of joinery giving a sense they were adhering to strict budgets when outfitting. Entering the "bathroom" through the sliding door seemed like a big tripping hazard. Construction opposite their hotel had an impact only during mid-morning and during the day. The balcony is nothing to write home about. Despite these shortcomings, I had a pleasant stay. Free wifi was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and location was convenient for my work, but also close to cafes, shops and restaurants.
Very noisy rooms at night, can hear conversations from neighboring rooms, can hear people walking on the street, cars driving by. I woke up several times during the night.
Of the things that aren't recommended by other reviewers, I recommend installing ceiling baffles to deaden the noise. I've been in tiny cramped open plan offices in the heart of the Sydney CBD and these work great.
Convenient location is good though, prices reasonable.
Quite noisy at night, woke up a few times at night from minor things. Breakfast wasn’t as good as described by others. However I guess breakfast is good value if you buy in advance for $10.
My recommendation to management, please try and work on improving sound insulation. Maybe double glaze the front glass windows of the rooms facing the balcony. Perhaps install thicker curtains and other devices that can reduce the sound in the room.
Bed mattress quality quite good. Rooms clean, staff very helpful. Wifi ok. Was given a room upgrade due to low patronage at the time.
Pleasant hotel well located and close to public transport. Clean well appointed rooms and nice buffet breakfast. Will go again.
View from the space on the roof is fantastic. Well worth a look, weather permitting. Room was good. Nice layout and bathroom. Service friendly. Location brilliant.
I loved stay in Fraser Suite Sydney and my wife and I decided to stay in Fraser Place when we traveling Melbourne.
Great and friendly staffs (few staffs are bit down early in the morning) including those who serving in morning kitchen.
Loved room (Studio type) and was very cozy. Especially loved their pillow menu! Location is good but bit far (11mins walk) from city centre.
One small thing was the hotel entrance. Bit hard to find and the entrance covered with bins..
Overall it was good as I expected.
Good place to stay at a good price. Free Wifi included. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Some toiletries provided. Good service. The alley way entrance might put some people off but this is a minor issue in my opinion. Staff are very professional and polite. Rooms have little kitchenette, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Very convenient.
Stayed here for a recent work trip. Great location, clean and comfortable rooms. Didn't use the restaurant as the little kitchenette was perfect. Only complaint is very minor, but perhaps a little more sound proofing on the window glass? My sleep was 100% fine, but I headed back to the room to make some private calls one afternoon and the construction noises were extremely apparent. (If you're planning to be out and about in the day this would absolutely not be an issue!)
Edit: Just noticed some complaints about the water on here? Our shower was good and hot! No issues at all.
Decent studio room but Nothing special. Breakfast was below average
Excellent location for an even better price. Rooms are modern and comfortable with everything we needed.
Terrible service and very inefficient staff. The room is not worth paying for. Location is alright. Just feels creepy walking thorough the dark alley to get to the entrance. Wouldn't recommend it.
Fantastic hotel, very clean, staff really helpful. Good central location with very quiet rooms. Would definatley stay again if ever in Melbourne!
I picked up a friend outside the hotel in the lane way. Google rewards in conjunction with Google maps sent me a survey. I completed the rewards survey purely for the Google play credits. All I know about the venue is there is zero parking anywhere nearby on a Saturday night. Maybe the hotel rooms and service is great. I wouldn't know which means this is a rather pointless survey which apart from the info on street parking (or lack thereof) I've probably just waster your time.
