  Food was good when it arrived but had to wait a long time for the menu and over 35 minutes to get our food

  Gorgeous, cottage-like restaurant surrounded by tall, leafy-green trees and a relaxed peaceful vibe which hosted my brother and sister-in-laws wedding reception. Everything was set up beautifully and all the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and looked so pretty on the plate. The warm, happy atmosphere really contributed towards an unforgettable and incredibly special afternoon for all of us. It really helped make my brother and sister-in-laws wedding afternoon a brilliant success and I'm forever grateful for that.

  Absolutely beautiful!! We had my daughters bridal shower here in their separate little function room and it was amazing! A delicious high tea, beautiful views of the city and our hostess Carly was brilliant!!! A wonderful day in a charming place 💖

  Food was very average. Fish was drowned in clumpy oily batter and salad was gritty and unwashed with barely a hint of dressing. The potato wedges were boring. They redeemed themselves with an amazing sticky date pudding drowned in sauce for dessert. Overall though it was an expensive lacklustre meal only slightly ameliorated by friendly staff. I think they are definitely trading off their view over the mountains and city.

  From a wedding photographer's perspective, Fortnums Restaurant & Wedding Venue is a smaller wedding venue in Sassafras in the Dandenongs. The room is well decorated and looks good. The only downfall I felt it was a little dark. They have some gardens outside which you can use to take a few good shots too. The service and food was also good.

  Was invited to play at a wedding here last week and it was a pleasure. Charming rustic little venue among the trees, ideal for cocktail-style events for up to 100 people. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating, and excellent choice of wine and beer at the bar.
