Our cottage was set back from the road which was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Comfortable bed, couch sagged, old coffee, out of date milk and breakfast was generally disappointing. The port was a nice touch.
Reception was closed even though we arrived during opening hours.
The on site restaurant does NOT have tables reserved for guests and despite the restaurant being half full, there was no space for us.
Had a fantastic weekend on the 7th & 8th July for a wedding. The rooms were very spacious and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Went above and beyond in every way. Would recommend this retreat in Yungaburra.
Came for 1 night , wished I could stay a week, great rooms & furnishing, very clean.
Many thanks, will definitely be back.
We stayed at Eden House for two nights and found the rooms clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and unobtrusive, nothing was a problem. We also dined at the Restaurant and found it one of the best dining experiences we have had. The staff were professional and friendly & the food was amazing. Well done to Yungaburra, you should be proud.
Beautiful location in the centre of Yungaburra.
Our first impression was terrible, the restaurant tries hard to be upper class but on a budget with paper tablecloths, pinch spices with previous diner's finger marks left in them, waitresses that would rather be anywhere else and cannot remember whose order is whose. (Be prepared to get harrased all night with "did you order this?" Or asking the waitresses to bring out the item you ordered) the food was overpriced as well as it was overcooked. Don't ask the waitresses any questions about the food as they'll just make something up on the spot about it leaving you surprised when your meal arrives.
I supply the hospitality trade with commercial furniture, and I have been to many hotels & resorts in my day. There are a few that catch your eye and make you want to come back for some unofficial business someday - this is definately one of those places.
The new owners have added a day spa for the ladies, this we didn't try out as when we get out of the city - we plan on doing as little as possible. The new villas are absolutely fantastic. Private, exceptionally clean & exhume a warm feeling of peace and relaxation - just the thing you look for in a place to stay.
The included breakfast in the morning is much better than the slices of fruit they used to serve you - it's a three course warm breakfast with as much juice coffee as you can drink - great for those cold mornings in the tablelands. We did not have dinner in the restaurant as we dine @ Nicks (Partner is Swiss!) but if it is on par with the breakfast, we would definately dine here if staying for more than one night!
If you are even considering staying in Yungaburra - there is nowhere else in my opinion. I hope you find this helpful.
