Very easy and professional experience with East Coast Car Rentals in Cairns recently. Very prompt shuttle bus pick up at airport, quick processing once back at the office and we were on our way. From booking, to airport pick up, to the actual car itself - everything was easy! The car was clean and modern, and perfect for our weeks holiday in Cairns. This was the only rental company I could find that didn't require us to have a credit card to book, and they were a fantastic price. Highly recommend East Coast Car Rentals

great experience with East coast car rentals. Car was ready on time. Shuttle to and from airport super quick. Car clean reliable and in good order. The only thing i would like is a better description for the car. I have requested a medium car, and it turned out to be a little small for our family! maybe photos of the boot etc .. on the website would be ideal.

Great service and friendly staff made the process of hiring a car a pleasant experience from airport pick up to drop off. We liked how numerous photos were taken of any existing marks/damage on checkout and emailed to us for our records. We hired a small car for 5 days, it ran well and the return inspection was completed quickly whilst we waited. Was slightly hesitant hiring here given that the cost of hire was much cheaper than some of the other businesses but there was no compromise on service quality. East Coast Car Rentals - Cairns Airport would definitely be our go to place next time.

Booked a car for 2 weeks in March22 in Cairns. Vehicle and Service was excellent. Door to door- airport service. George was excellent. Will definitely use again in October. Have already recommended to family and others. Also more cost effective then other companies. Would recommending taking out the extra cover to reduce excess to zero. We had no issues but just gives peace of mind during the holiday. We will be back!👍

Good price. Good staff. Good car and nice and clean. Only set back is that car was not at airport but quick efficient paperwork and we were on our way. Allow extra time for the transfer to airport.

Great service, picked us up from the airport in a free shuttle bus. They gave us a great little car to zoom around in, which was reasonable new . Overall a pleasure to hire from, no security deposit required when you hire either. (awesome)

Friendly & helpful staff and great vehicles at competitive prices. I've been back 3-4 times & I'd certainly recommend them. The pickup service is well done and the little bit of extra effort of getting to the office, I'm sure, results is a better priced deal, compared to providers within the airport.

What a fantastic company to deal with. We priced up all rental companies in Cairns and found that these guys were between $50.00 and $150.00 dollars cheaper. The car was in as new condition.
No hassels picking up or dropping off and the free shuttle to the airport was perfect. Other companies are charging up to $45.00 to drop off at the airport.
We would definately use East Coast again in the future.

Happily use this company every time I am in Cairns. Great staff, great prices, cars are in good condition. It's all too easy. They even give me a discount for being a return customer! They pick up from the airport and drop you off, too

Easy going staff and extremely helpful! They have maps for Port Douglas as well. We were visiting in Canada and were slightly skeptical about driving on the right side of the road..but they eased us. Good..clean vehicles and cheapest rates!

Pretty good car rental company. I used them at Cairns and I didn't have much of headache for renting a car. There are two issues in my opinion that could improve your service to a five star one. 1) Please tell your receptionist not to advise the customers that you are fully booked whilst I could rent a car online! If you were fully booked, then I wouldn't be able to book a car online which I did. 2) Please provide airport drop-off facilities so customer could drop the car off at the airport.

I hate being pressured into taking out insurance which I told them I already have. The attendant tried to scaremonger me into additional insurance saying: "someone had to buy a car off us last week as they drove through a flood". Another assistant said I should not be getting such a nice car as I originally booked with a rival hire company. All told, not the most pleasant start to our trip. Car was fine apart from the boot (trunk) did not shut very easily. When we returned the car the company's airport shuttle was about to leave and we were hoping to get in it but it went off without us and so we had to wait another 15 minutes for the next one. The distance from the domestic airport to the rental office was about 15/20 minutes. Be aware that you may be pressured into extra insurance. They froze $1000 from my credit card as I did not take their extra insurance. The excess on their policy was $5500 another tactic to get you to purchase their insurance. If you're prepared everything should go okay but they will try and pressure you into additional insurance.

East Coast Car rentals was a great price, friendly helpful staff, good car that gave us no trouble at all. I would have liked to hire with "nil excess" as offered by another company BUT the opening and closing hours of East Coast tipped the scales in their favour. Their drop off entrance could be more user friendly especially on a busy street.. But those 2 negatives were certainly small issues stacked up against so many positives.. We would certainly use them again.

Recently rented a Toyota Commuter 12 berth people mover from these guys in Cairns. Booking was simple, they beat the opposition for price and the service and vehicle condition was great. They don't have an airport presence but they provide an on-demand shuttle bus that arrived 10 minutes after we called. Would thoroughly recommend.

It been a while renting a car with East Coast, prior renting with other agencies, I can say that their prices are reasonable and the customer service is awesome. I recommend anyone no to hesitate to rent from them. I have had and still have a great experience with East Coast.

Highly recommended. The off-site location, which is the main reason for such a competitive price, was not a problem at all. The shuttle service was excellent and the I must specifically mention the driver who took us back to the airport - we were in a rush, his shift has ended but he still took us to save us having to wait - and got us there in double quick time.
Just one thing to beware of - the system for buying the extra insurance cover is a little poor - I'd recommend you sign up for this at the first opportunity. If you wait for the final reminder, as I did, the cover is actually placed via a third party, so East Coast still then have to take the deposit.
