The doctors are great i always feel like I have been taken seriously. Dr Jodie Apps is amazing! Although when calling to make an appointment I am usually having to wait at least 20 mins on the phone before getting through which is quite annoying.

I have found staff to be professional & helpful. The online booking app is excellent and easy to use. My primary care GP is based here and the waiting room areas are always clean and very pleasant. The Medical Centre is one of the best I have had contact with. On the rare occasion I have encountered a real wait time, it has been because another patient is experiencing an emergency of some sort, or I have come in without a booked appointment for some reason.

Doctor Bahl treated me with the utmost respect and dignity. He took the time to listen to my concerns and symptoms and he made sure I understood every step of the treatment plan, this was really appreciated. I didn’t feel like I was pushed for time, best doctors appointment I have ever attended, I’m making him my regular GP. He was also on time and welcomed me with positivity, 5 stars.

I can not express enough the gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding care and service I have received from Dr Bahl. A wonderful Doctor and an amazing human being. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

My dad who's in his late 60s was there today with a infected eye and was told that the result will be ready. While he waited his turn to see the doctor, once inside was told no result so at the same time my dad had asked him to fill in the referral form for Sydney eye hospital, which he refused and had asked my dad to leave and theres nothing he can do.
I am extremely upset at the way they had handle his situation and specially that they are at a position to help people.
I told dad DO NOT go back there again even if his life depends on it!!
So sad that we a doctor who obviously doesn't care to care!

Doctors range from good to pretty terrible. Wait times are atrocious with no (easy) way to book a certain time and no public ticketing system so you can see how long you have to wait.

Apparently there is a shortage of doctors (and has been for months and months) so expect to wait at least 3 hours.

Went there on a Sunday the receptionist I must say was very nice & helpful.I was told there is only one doctor & there is 22 people in front of me & at least a 5 hour wait.If time runs out & it's time to close bad luck you won't see the doctor. This is worse than a third world country surgery. There were sick children there that had been waiting 5 hours.Absolutely pathetic that place.

Wait times are unacceptable and there hasn't been any changes in 18 months. Years ago this place was good. The Illawarra Mercury needs to do a story on this place asap. Who cares if the owner is a millionaire , even more reason to fix it. Terrible customer experience.

DAPTO MEDICAL CENTRE: A close friend of mine has been having cardiac related symptoms on and off for a few months now. A few days ago we went into the dapto medical centre in hopes to get a few blood tests, an ECG and chest
X-ray to get some answers on why this pain keeps interfering with day to day activities. It doesn't fit criteria for an ambulance, nor is it a medical emergency but something isn't right. Upon arrival at dapto medical centre we were told an hour and a half
is roughly the wait time which is reasonable for a weekday morning. Whilst in the waiting room, to our surprise we overheard the receptionists openly 'gossiping' about patients, loudly enough for us to hear them from the back of the room. Two hours later and
we are still waiting, the receptionists constantly treating incoming patients with disrespect and proving they're no asset to the centre. Three-four doctors were wondering around the centre, laughing and joking about inside personal jokes with each other and
the receptionists. No one was calling any patients in for inappropriate periods of time. Three and a half hours later, we were called into a doctors room. After explaining in detail of the cardiac pain my friend has been experiencing, the doctor seemed unsure
of a response. He failed to perform a blood pressure, ECG and chest X-ray which to my belief are three of the most basic diagnostic tests in the field, and should be done as a baseline on any patient with similar symptoms. The doctor ordered a full blood count
however failed to ask for cardiac specific markers, but instead ordered blood glucose and fasting bloods. He seemed in a rush to get the consultation to an end. His attitude to his job was extremely poor, and his duty of care was non-existent, even at the
most basic level. The above mentioned issued cause me to question the competence and the ability of these doctors to legally practice medicine and work to the standards set by the National Board. If my friend suffers a heart attack or similar life threatening
event, the coroner is going to have a very easy case in front of him. I hope that dapto medical centre are aware of the repercussions they will most defiantly face if this occurs. And their failure to provide the most basic care will put them in that unfortunate
positionand the saddest part is that it's going to take something serious to happen for a difference to be made.

Some doctors we know there are great. But the waiting is soooo long and you will never be able to make an appointment, even when you are standing in front of the Reception. The problem is that some doctors start their office hours at 12:00pm, so I walked into the Centre at 9:00am and wanted to reserve the time slot at 12:00pm (I know the Centre doesnt take booking through phone call), to ensure that I can see the Doctor on time. But the answer is "' NO WAY!" I was then been informed that I should just come back at 12:00pm and wait. The medical system here at this Centre doesn't care about the patient at all, and never ever think about anyway to improve and make it a little bit more convenient and friendly to people, to not to wait so long.

The receptionists are so kind and caring. But the doctors they are so lazy! There are people waiting for so long, and then one decides to come in half an hour late, cause apparently he is always is? This isn't right. People are waiting hours on end, and the doctors think it's okay to just walk around like headless chooks and not do their jobs! They need to reevaluate that medical centre and the team of doctors they have. Absolutely appalling.

monika the receptionist was very rude my last visit. Needing a referral from my doctor who I have been seeing since the day I was born (quite literally) to see my specialist who I have been seeing every few months for 5 years now usually sees me driving to the centre (which takes half an hour)and waiting upon hours to see my doctor just to sit in the room for less than 5 minutes to get a referral.
On this one particular day I needed the referral although I had Gotton into a car accident a few days before, didn't have a car and it was my mums birthday, so I was hoping it wouldn't be too much trouble just to get the referral faxed over to my specialist.
Monika rudely speaking to me informed me it wouldn't be allowed, I told her my situation and asked if she could kindly ask the doctor as I'm sure he would allow it one time.
She put me on hold for less than 30 seconds, came back and told me that he said no.
After troubling someone to drive me all the way there and wait with me, I asked the doctor, informed him of the situation and he said again, that usually it's not something that's done but he would have made the exception if he was asked. YES THATS RIGHT she didn't even talk to him about a referral for me being faxed to my specialist. When I went back to the reception desk to question her about it she was so blunt and rude. I told her that my doctor said it would have been alright this time, and given my situation it would have just been nice if wouldn't have straight out lied to me. She was not willing to help at all, even act sympathetic to my situation or put in any work whatsoever to make things simple. She just decided to lie over the phone to make things easier for herself, so that I had to go out of my way, leave my mums birthday celebrations and cause hassle for another person to drive me around when the doctor said it would have been fine to fax this one time. Never going to that place again, which is sad because I like my doctor although they will never allow me to get through to Him or talk personally with him over the phone. They even charge a fee to send your full history elsewhere, but when the staff are so rude like that and make it so difficult for clients, I can't see the use in wasting my time there anymore :(

Monica is very unempathethtic. Especially after hours. Family members like to keep on top of required treatment and medical updates to put everyone at ease. I don't see the problem with wanting to find out how my loved ones are faring, it all seems too hard for poor Monica. Obviously it is not someone SHE cares about.
