We were not happy to find a note in our room we booked stating if you use this bed you will be charged. We booked a queen room and whenever we have EVER stayed in a hotel we have never seen a sign saying you cant use the additional single bed in the room. We were not intending on using it however if you book a room you expect to use the room. I contacted choice hotels who forwarded the complaint to the owner and i recieved a very detailed email which was rude, patronising and aggresive. I was merly stating that its not nice to have a sign on the bed! I would never recommed it here on the pure rudness of management. In regards to cleanliness it was good and clean. The place is dated and if you want to stay somewhere nicer with excellent customer service. Someone has contacted trip advisor to remove this post however i will resubmit on removal as i am being honest.

Good location and clean motel. However, the reception woman was extremely rude and I never come across such kind of rude receptionist, I even ask the manager to speak with and she refused to let me. No wonder they have that low rating with that good motel.

Stayed for me night. All facilities looked very tired, BUT room was very clean, comfortable duvet & pillow - had really good night sleep. Will come back again if I need an accommodation in Halls Gap.

We visited Hall`s Gap in December 2016 and spend two nights at the Comfort Inn Country Plaza.
Nice roadhouse with large and comfortable rooms and beds. We did not try the restaurant because of the international menu. I`d prefer Aussie food , but nevermind. ;-) Reception was very friendly; special thanks for explaining about the Cicadas. :-)

Average. Room was not ready and had dirty laundry and empty glasses and cups. Then after going out for dinner, we came back to our room and keys didn't work Call, 5-10 mins later somebody turns up and the master key doesn't work. No manager on site, really average! Look around, you'll find better.

Room was good upgraded room. Washing machine and dryer free of charge to use were a bit old but did the job. Arrived at lunch without prebooking and when rang through to duty manager was told to ring back in 45 minutes when i told her we were there she was not real happy to be distributed in the busy lunch time.

Rooms were comfortable and clean with SPL the amenities you need. Staff were nice and checking in was quick and easy

The room and location was superb but there was a staff member (male, 5'8 with glasses) who was very rude and just plain racist. He treated us with such disgust in his face and attitude while serving us. The best way i can explain our stay was "one rotten apple spoils the whole bunch". The management should look into explaining customer service to this staff member. Otherwise apart from that, the rest was fine. Spacious room with a beautiful view of the Grampians outside and very close to the Halls Gap Centre.
