An older motel but owners have done a fantastic job of updating the rooms. Clean, comfortable and generously equipped including toiletries, microwave, plates, cutlery etc. Just very good value. Credit to Golden Chain and owners.

Staff (and Suzie!) were great, very friendly.

Both the exterior and rooms were clean and very well-maintained (we were in a completely updated room).

The bed was comfortable with a choice of pillows which was a nice touch.

The newly renovated bathrooms were great - clean, good water pressure with plenty of hot water and plenty of towels. The only let down was the toilet didn't have enough oomph to flush the paper.

As for being on a main road into town.. you wouldn't have known! The rooms are quite and very dark with the blinds closed.

We'll definitely be back.

We had not booked ahead, the room we were given was spacious and clean and the bonus was that the towels were large soft and fluffy. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Colonial as a good place to stay. When we are in Yass again we will stay here. Thank You ☺
