Chess Moving did a great job relocating my personal items overseas. My furniture arrived in good order - the team dispatching my goods were responsive and helpful. I needed to add an special painting at the last minute which they collected, perfectly wrapped - in its own crate, and delivered it without a mark. So grateful for their service! Made life easy and stress free!

Very bad customer service experience trying to get a quote for a Sydney to USA move. The person I delt with was extremely rude and did not care about servicing me (even implied they do not need my business), didn't get back to me with a quote when promised, did not respond to my follow-ups, kept blaming other departments, and took over a week (although I told them this was an ASAP need) to tell me they couldn't accomdate the move based on volumn (although from the very first contact two weeks before, I provided a detailed list of what the item volumn was). They also got the destination address wrong in what they were basing their quote off of, but after such poor service, I didn't bother asking them to correct it and def did want to take the risk of hiring them to move my things across the world.

Terrible Company to Deal with, Initially they are great until they have packed and taken off with your product!! Collected goods on 7th September 2022 in Australia & still haven't received them in NZ as at 12 January 2023. They don't respond to phone calls or call back when messages are left. If you get the chance use another company!!!

We had a great experience with our international move with Chess. Cameron was super helpful, accommodating and always happy to answer our many questions! The packing and moving team worked lightning fast and packed so well that all our goods arrived safely in the UK. Our move involved storage in both Sydney and the UK and Chess made the process seamless. Thanks team!

We had the Chess crew here for the last 2 days and it was a very good experience. Moving is a stressful event, let alone moving to another continent, but these guys made it all a lot easier for us. Good communication, hard and focussed when at work and friendly banter made it all so much more bearable. They really listened to how we wanted things done and what was important for us, which was a big relief. Highly recommended!!

Shipment from Australia to UK arrived with many damaged boxes (books were strewn around loose in the back of the delivery truck) and not an apology from anyone at Chess or their UK delivery partner "Movecorp"

From the consultation, through the multi pick ups and drop off locations, Chess moving team have been exceptional. Everybody that helped move our furniture (ten removalists, lovely office assistants, consultants and storage people- wow huge work load) were so positive and helpful and were very professional in moving items with care. Assistance over the phone was made easy and very accommodating. Everything moved was in perfect condition. In what usually is a stressful and difficult time this was a great relief and comfort and an added bonus to to talk art, philosophy and carpentry with the team between loads. Thanks guys :-)

Like the other reviews I was also promised everything would be fast relocating our goods from Sydney to the US. The reality was a lot different. I can accept that things don't always go to plan, however I can't accept being held to ransom over an error Chess made:

Chess accepted my goods and payment for relocating them ($6000). Six weeks later they determined they did not bill me for additional insurance and asked me for an additional $350. I'm not in a position to pay this and they are refusing to release my goods until I do. I was given no option with regards to the additional insurance and they are now holding me to ransom over an error they made. They treat customers with absolutely no respect, buyers beware.
