Extremely disappointed! Wewaited well over an hour for our meals. When my meal arrived it was taken straight back again as they had given me the incorrect plate and realised as they placed it in front of me. So waited yet another 10mins for the correct meal to arrive. Not once did we get any communication except when we asked. Then it was a sorry. No compensation or anything. I wouldn't bother wasting my time going back. The meals were average too.

My wife and I went on Sunday for lunch. Mixed reaction: I had a pizza and it was horrible - what surprised me the most about it was how you could mess up a pizza so much; I hated every mouthful. However my wife had the gnocchi and she enjoyed it. Overall, though, we won't be back.

What has happened to the Gate. We worried we wouldn't get a table but it was a ghost town. Terrible meals to the point where 2 of our group feel unwell. Terrible service. Staff looked absolutely miserable. Never again and we are locals. A food court would have better atmosphere, better customer service and far better food!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the managers/owners need to learn about cutomer service. A cash bar these days is crazy, the only way to pay with a card is to start a tab and they hold your credit card which is no good when you use your phone. No split billing is a pain too, this day in age it is easy to split bills and it's lazy not to. The food for our large group was a bit hit and miss but my steak sandwich was great and the wait staff were great too

The service is as good as anywhere in the area.
Beer was a little flat last time we tried the place again.
We live nearby but rarely go here because of the cash only rule.

Great place big screens for watching sport. Only negative is it's a cash bar. Get with the times and get card facilities I mean it's 2017.. What is going on

Need to book as it's pretty popular on Fri and Sat nights. Lack of EFTPOS at bars is disappointing but the staff are good. Restaurant food I have experienced is pretty good except for one steak which had sinew. Overall a good place for a night out with friends and family.

What an absolutely delightful experience we just had at The Gate Bar & Bistrow thanks to the amazing service we received from Sandra in the restaurant area. The Food was exquisite and very well priced for it's fantastic quality. Would highly recommend.

Food was ok. The only semi decent pub for a long way around. Tidy. Crowded and noisy on the weekends - you would need reservations for a sit down meal. Service was pleasant but slow. Plenty of parking.

This has to be THE WORST pub grub in Perth!! The food was so bad we sent it back! We even gave it a few chances.. The 2 bars are CASH ONLY so they are dodgy as well! They take any TAB tickets you have on your table if you are not looking, and they stack them behind the bar to check for winnings!! They say they have thrown them out, but they are stacked in a spot they know all too well!! I mean, seriously, who runs a TAB/BAR that is CASH only? They say the "EFTPOS" is down for maintenance but it works in the restaurant, and I am no IT expert, but I guess it would work off the same server????? BEWARE.oh..on the good side,the beer is cold..

Great outdoor areas for meals and drinks. Plenty of room here. Live entertainment on the weekends and the cover most major events on the big screens. Also has a large dining room for bigger bookings. Pretty much everything is covered here.
