Great range of food. Nice sports bar. Has a great event calendar including dinner and show packages

The reception lady (with short bob in her 50s) made my husband, who has just had a knee reconstruction walk up two large flights of stairs to our function instead of allowing us to use the lifts to go upstairs (which we were allowed to use by a nice gentlemen 1 hour previously). She was very rude and hostile and acted as if we were too much of a bother. Not impressed at all!

Large well-managed club offering a wide range of services. Very family friendly. Lots of poker machines but not impinging on other activities. Excellent dining facilities.

Very poor Vegetarian option. Bar staff started the function without any change in the till. My food was way too spicy. Desserts were very poor examples of what was on the menu. Definitely not worth $60 from my angle.

Not a bad club. The staff are very nice. I wouldn't really consider the meals very good value and pretty standard compared to any pub. Some of the specials can be good though so always have a look at those.

Great family club, great food when not under pressure. Unfortunately my daughters meal was extremely oily, which we put down to mass production as it was a very busy night at the club. This did not change our opinion on the club because the floor manager could not of been more helpful or kind, offering us free drinks, different food or a choice of a free dessert.

Went to the southern cross club for some casual drinks and pokies.
We were up to our second drink and attempted to have a friendly chat to some patrons next to us which ended up in them claiming my friend sexually assaulted them by "grabbing their boobs" to security.
Upon this allegation we were quickly escorted to the front desk to discuss this situation with the security officers which we were happy to do. However we persisted that security and management reviewed security footage to prove their was no wrong doing on our behalf yet they neglected to look any further into the situation.
As this is unfortunately how the situation unfolded we continued on to ring the police. The police arrived and the police were even more disappointing as they showed zero interest in doing their job and claimed we have no rights what so ever at patrons and can get kicked out of a club with no relevant reason at all.
We persisted that they reviewed the video footage but again the showed zero interest in solving the case and just wanted to return to their warm office as fast as they could.
This is extremely disappointing in the southern cross club and I will not be returning and passing this information onto family and friends .
I can understand the uneducated security guards following orders from a manager with no idea from right and wrong buy for the Woden Police station not to investigate an incident of patron being kicked out of a club for allegedly sexually assaulting some woman is absolutely appalling and disgraceful for what the community depends and expects of the Australian Police Force.response / report this review -
