The way the chef makes various elements come together to form one delicious dish is a fascinating science in itself. Service from our waitress was faultless, and with exception of butter being cold, food was spectacular, as was the Riesling recommendation.

Expect to dine for 4hrs, so choose your dinner company wisely.

    Better than Bennelong.

There is a reason this restaurant is regularly touted as Canberra's best. Fantastic food, wine and service.

Outstanding food that you'll remember for a long time. The menu allows you to pick from a couple of options for each course. Service is very friendly and down to earth. Will be back!

After visiting Aubergine twice I have mixed feelings about it. While the service and food are undeniably terrific, I feel the second time the "wow" factor was lacking for the $180 per head price point.

One of the dishes was very fishy, for me I enjoy new interesting flavors but I could imagine some people really not liking such a raw fishy flavor (note that I am not referring to old fish, just a very strong natural fish flavor).

The service and food are definitely 5 star I would of just expected some more "wow" factor for the price. Perhaps the very busy evening affected this "wow" factor though because the first time definitely had it.

The service is excellent and the dishes are all very unique, they all looked fantastic and well presented but compared to other top Canberran restaurants we both felt the food was missing the wow factor from a flavour perspective. Given the price here is quite a bit more than others, it's a disappointment. The desert and the cheese being the exception, which were superb. Whilst I'd suggest people definitely try it for them selves there are others I'd suggest first.
