Lizzie from Cairns Holiday homes was wonderful. We were due to take a holiday in July 2021 at Zanzoo retreat and then lock down happened and we had to cancel. Lizzie was amazing in helping us negotiate a full refund from AirBnB. We will definitely be booking again as soon as we can leave Sydney. A company you can completely trust to do the right thing. Service was fantastic, prompt and well beyond my expectations.
Lizzie has been absolutely wonderful in helping us find and book the wonderful Zanzoo Estate. Communication was fantastic and extremely personable. Unfortunately due to COVID we were unable to stay but as soon as we can travel again I will be using Cairns Holiday Homes. I can't recommend them more highly.
Lizzie and Nick have been looking after my holiday house and they were extremely helpful and patient with me over the years. Excellent communication between Lizzie, myself and the guests. I recommend them highly!!
Wilkes house was a real home away from home. Plenty of room for our family- 3 teenage boys- to spread out. Just had a great feel and every little thing you could possibly need was at our fingertips; also quite close to fuel/food shops etc. Very relaxing vibe, and so quiet
We found Wilks House, Bungalow to be a home away from home. We have stayed there previously and returned to spend the month of August there. From the moment you walk through the back door it feels very welcoming - from the bowl of fresh fruit to all the little touches, like milk in the fridge, a well stocked pantry to the toiletries in the bathrooms. The final touch was the fresh flowers waiting for us. The house is ideal for a large family as there are two living areas and four bedrooms. Lizzie and Nick are unobtrusive but always available when needed.
"Wilks House" was the base for 4 of us while visiting Cairns over 6 days. The accommodation was excellent in all ways. Being close to the city, 10 mins by car and an easy drive was a plus. The house is very well presented and has everything most people would require in a rental. Tea, coffee, condiments, fruit in the bowl and fresh milk on arrival plus a little gift snack on the table. The cupboards and drawers are stacked with ALL those extras needed when cooking and even when packing your picnic lunch for a days outing. Comment from our group, "we have never seem a rental so stocked with everything we need". Breakfasts were a joy in the morning light on the covered outdoor patio overlooking the back garden and evening meals were also eaten here. Lizzie our host greeted us with a friendly smile, explained the house and was only a phone call away if needed, thank you Lizzie.
If you want a comfortable, well presented house when visiting Cairns look no further.
We stayed at 18 Apollo Quay, Trinity Park and have have only one complaint ---Lizzie you only provide 5stars.
I have had decades in the tourism industry - Fauna Park Owner, Regional tourist director, Mgr Victorian Gold Award tourist park, GM tourism transport and awarded National Award for services to Inbound Tourism; and partner has travelled extensively in Australia/NZ/Europe/Canada/Asia and we both agreed that Joann & Tony provided accommodation and services beyond anything we had experienced.
The unit - 2br/Kitchen-Dining - lounge and br with 3metre deep walking shower and a great washing machine. Tony, a superb craftsman built the unit and with doors, furniture and cabinets from New Guinea timbers. And Joan's artistic flare is evident not only in the unit but throughout the delightful tropical garden. Whether it was in the refrigerator, the cabinets, the lounge room or the bathroom where there was even soap powder provided for the washing machine; we were guaranteed surprises with every conceivable appliance; tea/coffee/ sugar/milk and even honey and vegemite. And I can't forget that jar of cookies. Outside you have the run of the establishment (except their house), Situated on the top of a canal you can enjoy a wine/coffee or what ever is you desire to provide whilst you sit on the lower deck reading or watching the kids fish on the floating jetty; or perhaps you prefer to lounge in the hammock(s), swing in the swinging lounge or take a dip in the plunge pool.
Apollo Quay is ideally situated close to the popular Northern Beaches, Smithfield Shopping Centre. Kuranda and other places that Joann will advise you of. We visited Kuranda, Mosman Gorge , Port Douglas, Cairns, Crystal Cascades and on Joann's direction we took a long trip to Paronella Park. We also visited Forest Skywalk which is approx. 20kms from the park.a long day but worth the effort .
There is off street parking behind locked gate.
My (our) last word If you go anywhere else ..don't blame me.
PS:- thanks Lizzie for your professional service. I have photos but you have a large selection on your site and reality is every bit as good. T&E
We stayed at the Wilkes House and it was a beautiful piece of property! The owners of the house were easy to deal with and made our stay wonderful. While not in the downtown area, it is right off a main thoroughfare with easy bus access to the city center. It was nice to be away from the noise of downtown and relax. Highly recommend for a relaxing tropical vacation.
Our stay at Eden Trinity beach was great. The house is well designed and ideal for multiple couples or a large family. Eden is perfectly located in a quiet street with views of the lagoon from the pool and alfresco area and only a short walk to the beach, restaurants, club and shops. The house has everything you need for a stress free and relaxed holiday. Trinity Beach is also a great location for day trips as it is only a short drive south to Cairns or if you want to head north to Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge or the Daintree.
We stayed at Kewarra Beach in a holiday house. A fantastic location and a great house. The owner (Alex) met us on arrival and was great to deal with. I would highly recommend this property to anyone (family or otherwise) wanting a beach holiday.
I stayed at the small studio in Brinsmead Terrace for over four weeks while attending a yoga course. The studio space was ideal - it has everything one needs. The property is absolutely gorgeous. The gardens and grounds are kept impeccable and Sue, the host, is an angel. She'll go out of her way to make sure you've got all you need and that you've settled in.
There is a bus stop within walking distance and you can get number 123 bus to go into town. I had a bike and there are a couple of shops within biking distance.
I would definitely recommend staying at Brinsmead to anyone, although be warned: the place is so lovely, so beautiful, you'll be tempted to not step outside to explore the rest of Cairns
