Location is so awsome very near by beach more over its available in such a low cost ..
Worth to money
A bit disappointed, location wasn't what we expected, transport to the city is not that easy. Activities could have been better, the place is a bit rundown and it's somewhat odd that you can drink any alcohol besides wine.
I stayed in a 4 person room that had plenty of room. A couple of downsides are the size of the bathrooms per floor and I saw a cockroach in one of the bathrooms. The top bunks do not have rails to stop you from falling off. The kitchen is a good size and they have free Wi-Fi in the dining area and reception
Really dirty hostel.
Bunks unsafe, no lights by bed.
Hardly any toilets and showers.
Kitchen small and dirty.
Management sarcastic and unhelpful.
Do not recommend this hostel.
I stayed there many year ago but I notice that nothing changed . Unfriendly staff , coold room in winter, etc etc I Do NOT recommend this place
Except for the location there is nothing good to say. The room was filthy, without a mosquito net in the window, there were cockroaches everywhere (room, kitchen and dining area!), the kitchen was very dirty and so were the tiny bathrooms! I travel a lot and this was one of the worst hostel experiences ever. I cant recommend - especially for the price! It surprised me how bad the conditions of the facilities were.
Great service. Easy access to bondi beach and Campbell parade. Rooms are clean and in good condition. Exactly what we wanted for a weekend in Sydney.
15 minutes walk from Bondi Beach. Rooms are really clean and relatively new. Cool courtyard with table tennis. Free wifi, though it's slow and a premium faster wifi is available for $5 a night. Really good staff. Free tea and coffee. No free breakfast.
Room was large enough for two adults and had a nice bathroom attached. Rooftop view was nice also. Walking distance to Bondi Road and Bondi Beach as well as a bus stop. Clean, easy, affordable.
Definitely the best hostel I stayed in, in Sydney. Couldn't fault the staff at all, very helpful and lovely as most stayed there too! They encourage you to join in and make friends. Such a brilliant hostel for solo travellers. The rooms were very clean and there was plenty of place to put luggage, lockers are a little small and you have to supply your own lock. The destination was great, the roof top terrace allowed you to look over Tamarama Beach and also Bondi Beach. It was only a 5-10 minute walk to all amenities. Also had a very good laundry service opposite to wash, dry and iron your clothes for cheap!
Good place to spend a night. Could be more clean. Not too many washrooms.
The place is OK overall, not far from the beach but not as close as you'd think. The bathrooms are clean enough but you basically need to use them in the middle of the afternoon or late at night to make sure they won't be occupied (only 2 bathrooms per floor). As mentioned before, the kitchen is too small and always crowded, I had to eat outside several times or eat tons of microwaved noodles just because I couldn't use the cooker. There's no oven.
Also, I thought the place was strict on the noise but there's actually no control. Been awakened many times in the middle of the night by drunk travellers walking and laughing super loudly and I don't think they got kicked out.
Some members of the staff were nice enough and helpful but others were almost unfriendly. One woman, in particular, often at the counter made me so uncomfortable (I even had that feeling that she was personally unfriendly to me) that I avoided asking her for help as much as possible and would wait for someone else to be there. I don't think that's normal.
This rating is based off the fact that this is a hostel so don't expect a super nice place. But the prices are average and the location is superb. View from the roof and the rooms of the ocean are great. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
