Very disappointing. Saw very few fish, minimal, dull-colored coral. Boat ride ok, lunch service disorganized, food mediocre.

Visiting Green Island with the Big Cat Green Island Reef Cruises is a must. It is wonderful to spend a day and snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef on a remote Island:) Staff are friendly and very professional and are passionate about their job. The Semi Sub was fantastic, interesting to learn about the various species. We were lucky enough to see Stingrays, Turtles and numerous fish. Highly recommend the tour.

Thank you to Big Cat Green Island Reef Cruises for a great day out !
This is one trip we always recommend to our guests. It’s such a beautiful place to see & explore ! Only 45 minutes from Cairns, this tropical Island is a beautiful coral cay on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef with unique island rainforests, surrounded by white sandy beaches & magnificent coral reefs and abundant marine life. A must do when in Cairns :)

Went on the full day trip to Green Island with Big Cat cruises and had an absolute ball! The crew were super friendly and helpful and were always around to assist. The snorkel gear provided was in much better condition then other similar cruises i have been on in the area, and the island itself is paradise. The big boat stayed at the island so we could venture back on board if we wanted to. The ferry ride to the island is very quick and in the big boat you can barely tell your on the water. My missus gets sea sick often but had no problem on the big cat boat. I definitely recommend this tour to Green Island with Big Cat

I had booked for the day trip but was hospitalised and needed to cancel my entire trip to Cairns unfortunately. Big Cat had no hesitation in giving a full refund immediately. Thank You! Unfortunately this was not the case for the Novotel Cairns nor Qantas! Big Cat shines in customer service.

We had a great time on our half day tour with our two and four year old kids. Staff were wonderful and full of information.
Highlight for the kids was the semi submarine - saw five turtles!!
Would love to have done a full day with lunch so we would have had more time to snorkel but the half day was perfect for our young kids.
    Will be back for sure.

I had a great day out on Green Island, beautiful weather! The staff were really helpful and informative about the reef. I did the whole day and there is lots you can do to spend your time especially when you do the semi-sub and glass bottom boat and there is still enough time to snorkel or explore the island.

An awesome half day out at Green Island. Went with our 1 year old and the staff were very accommodating, assisting with the stroller on and off the boat. Information about the island was well presented prior to arrival. Highly recommended! Thanks guys :)

We had the greatest time. Staff were awesome and compliments to the chef. The food was very tasty. We enjoyed the semi-sub and we're lucky enough to see a couple of big turtles. We travelled with two young kids, who were a bit seasick but the staff were very helpful. Well done Big Cat.

We had a great day out for the whole family. We got to see turtles, fish, and coral, all within easy swimming distance from the island. Even my 5 year old son was able to snorkel out to the close by reef and see a large array of marine life.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, I can't recommend them enough.

Very disorganized and staff even ignore customers when they were suppose to give safety briefing. Have to be the worse cruise I have taken in Cairns.

Half day trip was not worth the money. Nothing on the tour was explained very well. When you pay for snorkelling, get dumped off at the island and told to go where ever, just was not very well organized compared to a lot of other companies I have snorkelled with. Let alone when we did finally get in the water at high tide, absolutely nothing was to be seen in the water. I understand that weather and winds have a big factor on this type of activity but when you go and ask where the best place to go is and they lead you to the murkiest water of all the island..was not worth it. We ventured away on our own and found a decent place only to have 40 mins left to finish our tour. On the way back on our trip there was engine problems as something smelt like it was on fire. Moral of the story is, spend the few extra dollars and go to somewhere in the inner reef instead of finding "the best deal" and not being worth it.

We reviewed a few companies and went with Big Cat due to their packages for half day trips.

The experience from booking online through to disembarking at the end of the trip was great.

We were a little cautious with swimming due to it being stinger season and were not disappointed with the glass bottom boat and semi-submersible. We would recommend spending the little extra to do the semi-sub. It provided a better view of the reef than the glass bottom and a way for our 3 year old to see all the fish up close.

The half day was more than enough time for us to look around the island and see the reef on a excellent water visibility day. We saw lots of turtles, fish and coral all from the comfort of a sub and boat.

All the Big Cat team were professional, friendly and full of knowledge. The whole trip was well organised. One of the better day trips we have been on during our travels. Thanks to the team.

This was a decent trip to the island. I was pretty disappointed after booking online a half day trip only to find the same price with the company for full day. Half a day just is not long enough. Don't waste time with half and book the full.

The staff were so friendly and helpful! Making jokes and suggesting where to snorkell on the island to see the best reef life.

The island itself is incredibly beautiful!! Do go if you get the chance.
