  Great service and a good range of food on the menu too. I had a very nice Salmon & Avocado Tart with salad today. Staff were friendly and helpful.

  Having arrived on time for a previously booked lunch for six people we were shown to a table and seated.
  It immediately became apparent that the table was located under an air conditioning vent, with one of the seats being so impacted that the person involved had their hair "blowing in the wind".
  When this was queried, the helpful staff member fetched another person who we gathered to be the venue manager, who proceeded to inform us in a quite "blunt" manner that the only option was to turn off the cooling system, which would result in increased temperatures.
  He subsequently did turn off the system, but a little time later it was restarted.
  When food arrived I swapped places with the most impacted member of our party, and noted immediately how cold and uncomfortable it was.
  In addition, the high rate of cold air cooled my meal within minutes, resulting in the majority of the serve being consumed cold.
  We were most disappointed in this experience, and even more so that the table which we requested to be moved to, and were informed was otherwise booked, had not been used by the time we departed.
  Overall, as local Ballarat people who have visited the Yacht Club numerous times, we were very disappointed with the "take it or leave it" attitude of the manager, and as such will not use the facility again.
  In addition we will not recommend this venue to others, and will actively advise them against its use.
  It is a real pity, as the remainder of the floor staff were most helpful and pleasant, and the food was fine.
  The manager however, does not present a good impression of the restaurant.

  Great setting - on a nice day you can sit by the water and it feels like you're on the coast!
  Good breakfasts, coffee and cake selection. Also kid friendly with high chairs and space to move

  Great place, good atmosphere and friendly staff! While the selection of drinks wasn't huge for beers lagers and ales, the selection was good. Food was spectacular, everyone enjoyed their time here

  The ballarat yacht club is the place to go ,their service is 2nd to none ,the staff is always friendly and helpfull,and there is a good variety of food ,which is presented well .

  This place has great views of Lake Wendouree. The coffee barista Kate makes the best tasting coffee. The food is varied from cakes slices etc to good lunch meals. Lots of room to relax in from tables and chair also couches and daily newspapers. Good spot to drop into

  Have been there twice this month - December. Lunch and Breakfast. A real treat on both occasions. Great food, fabulous setting and most enjoyable experience to sit our over the water. Perfect
