The Bathhouse was a lot of fun. If you go, it's really only worth it if you get the Sanctuary experience. This way you get access to all the different pools and sauna's. We all enjoyed our time here.

Couldn't be more disappointed.

I had always wanted to go to Hepburn Springs and was was delighted to receive a gift voucher for my 21st. I got a nasty shock a bit over 6 months later when I realised that it had already expired. Admittedly, it was my fault for not checking but 12 months is standard expiry for most gift cards. After spending weeks back and forth with management, I was told that they would not honour my voucher or compensate me in any way, and so a spa that I have never been to has simply pocketed $150 without providing any services. It wasn't a donation! I now see this business doesn't respect its customers and treats them as cash cows.

I will tell everyone I know not to give a cent to these people.

I went here with my partner, and had the sanctuary experience. We found the pool and baths to be relaxing, and the mix of temperatures to be really nice. We went at 4pm, and we were able to stay until they closed at 6:15pm which gave us plenty of time to turn into prunes.

There were some negatives though. The water here did smell and feel quite chlorinated, which is probably understandable given the number of people coming through, but wasn't exactly mineral water. They have unisex change rooms, but no one changes in front of other people - just go in the individual rooms.

But for me the biggest negative was the floor. It feels like bare concrete - incredibly abrasive on your feet, especially when you've been soaking for a while. I could barely stand after walking on it for ~15 minutes all up, and unfortunately it was the longest lasting reminder of my trip here. Recommendation: BRING THONGS!

Standards are slipping here. I used to live in Daylesford and bathe every week. I now live overseas so it was 18 months since my last visit. There was an overwhelming stench of chlorine in the general area that made me retreat into the sanctuary quickly but only after I found that none of the showers that you should rinse in before entering the pools were working. As well, the monsoon showers, despite purporting to be cold, lukewarm and hot were cold, cold and cold. They were also a monsoon trickle.not much water at all. The floor in the new sauna was wet and deadly - VERY slippery There were towels left behind everywhere (and no people to claim them) so it was hard to get a seat and rubbish such as discarded apple cores and plastic cups. A staff member disappeared into a room near one pool and when they came out, you could smell cigarette smoke. Yuck. I think I probably wont be back on my next trip home at Christmas.

The weather has been cold, damp and depressing so we thought a trip to the Bathhouse would cheer us up. It certainly did! It was 4 degrees outside and toasty warm inside. The staff is top notch, the baths beautifully appointed and the spa bath so relaxing with friendly co-bathers. Thanks Hepburn!

A lovely full afternoon in the Sanctuary, bathhouse and spa treatment area. The staff were professional and helpful, the environment beautiful and the treating therapist very skilled. Highly recommended, and well worth it. The villas were wonderful to stay in over the weekend- it was a great weekend for staying in, in front of a log fire, and very well set up for us to do so. Our thanks to the team.

My recommendation is to always book the private spa or massages. You will be taken to an exclusive area where it is peaceful and tranquil. You are served tea and water prior and post your massage. Our couples massage was amazing and the room was the perfect temperature.

Very beautiful bush setting and a lovely poolBut that's basically all it is - a pool and spa. Staff were friendly and helpful and on a Friday it was very quiet. I was in and out in 30 minutes.

Extremely disappointed. We arrived, after hearing it was when of the better spas in the area. However, we were talked into the full 'sanctuary package' that was just under $200 for my partner and I. Why we we're most disappointed was not the price, but the poor service from being shown around unporodessionally and without a care by the staff member to not being provided with a locker and having to follow up on a locker For each of ya by having to ask various staff members as we were 'forgotten'. I also noticed a staff member repeatedly measure the spa temperature and state they were 'to cool'. Yes, they certainly were! The overall facility was OK but the worst service I've encountered for some time, particularly being someone who is easily pleased.

For 44$ you're getting only two baths-that's true, but it's really enjoyable! You can really swim there, the view is quite nice, easy with babies and accessible for wheelchairs. What's unusual is the unisex changing room, but everybody just tends to use the private ones inside the common area, so it's fine. They provide good quality bathing gel, shampoos and conditioners. Remember to take your own hair dryer if you need it. Also, for convenience you can hire a towel, a robe and a locker. You're not allowed inside the spas with kids. Overall, even though it's a bit pricey, you get the Rea mineral springs and relaxing atmosphere.

Our experience was quite nice. You need to sanctuary pass to get the full experience, yes it costs twice as much, but you get two steam rooms, dunking pool, salt poll and monsoon shower along with the other pools, plus you can see the creek bed outsideotherwise you'll be disappointed. The two pools you get with the basic pass can get crowded and aren't that great.

Staff were really friendly. If you want a relaxing atmosphere you. We still arrive early We arrived just after 9.30 on a. Sunday and it started to get busy around 11.30.
