  Four lads on motorbikes. Neil was really helpful and accomodating. Very comfortable rooms and great location.

  After a few recent disappointments with accommodation, we were all nervous about the stay but the apartment ticked all boxes. The apartments were conviniently located, clean, smart and elegant.

  Nice and tidy motel. Everything that you probably would expect from a motel is there. Close to promenade (definitely worth a visit) and cafes/pubs. I would recommend this motel also because of the friendly staff. Good place to spend the night.

  We went to Port Fairy and booked in at the Best Western. The grumpy owner told us we got the best room he hadand it turned out to be a converted garden shed or a garage. It could have been OK - but we were met with a horrible smell when we opened the door and .even worse the bathrooms had DIRTY towels . that were still wet after the last person using them.
  
  We decided to leave after spending 5 min there - and the grumpy manager refused a refund
  We then mentioned the dirty towels and the horrible smell and the grunted and gave us the money back.
  He was fully aware of the state of the "shed"
  
  Go somewhere else.plenty of options in Port Fairy.

  Pro's -
  
  We stayed in the modern apartments (not the rooms in the main building so can't feedback on those) and I felt they were of a good quality - fittings, decor etc
  
  Cons -
  
  Barely friendly service, you're putting the owner out personally if you change your mind or need any help, so this certainly spoilt my experience of Port Fairy.
  
  Additional costs are VERY poor - I believed we were getting Breakfast in the initial deal but not the case. A standard breakfast for 2 will set you back $40+ and the owner is less than communicative on these costs, which I found extremely poor.
  
  Also there is a charge if you haven't checked out before 10am, so beware of that - I'm unaware how much, and it doesn't state how much in the Guest books.
  
  Finally we had a lot of noise from partygoers/wedding guests until 2 or 3am, (and there is a very noisy pub 2 doors down) so if you're looking for a quiet break bear this in mind.
  
  But we won't be returning due to the owners' lack of friendliness.
