It was a great afternoon spent with the family. Took us about 3 hours to fully view everything and going a few rounds in the underwater aquarium. The kids (2-6yo) really enjoyed themselves.
Fantastic, way better then the aquarium in London! Great for kids. Babies are a little harder because they will have a harder time to see and needs to be picked up! I suggest having more step ups for the little kids! 5/5
Took the little ones here earlier this week, they both received free entry as there is no charge for kids under 4 which was great. So the total cost was $30 for my ticket. It’s a pretty quick outing, I think we were there for just over an hour and a half and we checked everything out pretty thoroughly. Couple of cool big sharks and turtles but pretty tame compared to some of the sea life I’ve seen at other places like this around the world. A good local outing for the little ones though-definitely worth a trip when looking for things to do to entertain them 🐟🐠🐡
Kid enjoyed a lot.Not as big as in Sydney and Melbourne, can be covered in 45min.
Took my mom and my little sister they absolutely loved it!
I think AQWA is an really amazing place. I've been to a number of aquariums and sea-parks in different countries and this one is no disappointment. There's a great variety of fish and sea creatures on display and most being Australian region only so it was a great surprise to see so many new and interesting sea creatures. The aquariums are well maintained and ordered with several sections showing fish from different regions of Australia. In the centre of the aquarium is an underwater tunnel showcasing a range of large sharks, bigger fish, and huge manta-rays. Outside there's is a touch pool and display of rescued and rehabilitating turtles. Throughout most days, more so on the weekends, there are shows and presentations by staff.
Took our 2yo for first time, he went absolutely crazy. Caters to kids but still visually stimulating for adults. Have been before many times over the years and they manage to keep it fresh and interesting. Loved the newer outdoor exhibits. Reasonably priced, suggest buying tickets online, minimal wait time even though the place was rammed. Staff polite and friendly. Considering seasonal pass for our son.
I absolutely adored this little aquarium. I had never been before, and was blown away with the displays, especially the large tunnel that goes through the big tank with the sharks. It was SO cool, I ended up going through twice.
The aquarium over all isn't huge, but it has plenty to see packed in with tons of native Australian sea life I had never seen before. The Cafe seems decently priced, and the gift shop was surprisingly affordable, definitely a must see if you are visiting Perth.
I liked it, however for the price you pay, there's not that much to see.. was expecting more. But soo beautiful nonetheless.. the tunnel is definitely worth seeing.. They have a little pong where you can touch little sharks and starfish. The children loved it.
A little disappointed alot of money for nothing. Money needs to be spent to make it more worth while. I would be happy to pay the money if there was more to see. The touch pool might as well be empty. How about more sharks or get some Dolphins or sea lions new attractions would be good seems to be less every time we go.
It's great to see all the underwater creatures. Different fish and jellyfish and all that stuff. Very nice. I think the entry price is ok witj $30 for an adult. The restaurant is also worth a visit. Friendly staff everywhere. The only annoying thing about that place are the annoying childrenscreaming and crying all the time This place should ban children younger than 6 years old. Then it would be a perfect day.
A well executed aquarium and features a moving walk around the underneath of the main tank. Off peak November was not crowded, giving us plenty of time and space to snap photos. Great souvenir shop with a variety of price points and unique items. For $30 per adult we were disappointed in the size. Expect to be here for less than 1.5 hours without kids.
This place is amazing. Very friendly and informative staff. Something for all ages. My family took the introduction to diving course. They loved it. I'd definitely recommend a visit.
My wife and I have been to Aqwa a few times over the years. This time we decided to take a peek behind the curtain with the guided Behind the Scenes tour.
It was a great decision and we thoroughly enjoyed the little mysteries and inner workings of the grounds. For every tank you see there is a myriad of extra things going on behind them.
The staff were lovely and very knowledgeable, answering any questions we had with ease. Seeing the fish without the glass and the aquariums themselves makes you appreciate the time, dedication and love that goes into this place.
I highly recommend checking out the Behind the Scenes. And the included day pass is such an added bonus. Especially since you will have a better understanding about how everything works after the tour!
For a first time trip this is a lovely place to visit. However visit #4 in 5 years. Kids and I are bored 45 mins in. Nothing new here to see. The small tanks are really cool. Wheres the big turtles and salty crocs?
Great place to see some underwater creatures. Some of the displays are really good. It is quite small tho so I feel its a bit expensive. Done in 40 mins.
I had a wonderful time at Aqwa.l enjoyed watching all sorts of fish . keep doing a good job. I was looking forward to seeing a mermaid but it wasn't there.
It's a good place to take your kids but it could do with an update. Not a lot has changed since I went there as a child. I think the price needs to be lowered or the exhibits need to be updated.
A neat layout with a good section of Australian sea life. The top exhibit was the underwater conveyer-belt tour that transports you along a globe of sharks, huge stingrays and many fish; it felt like being in a dream, it was very surreal! I highly recommend you to experience that at least once!
Too small compared to other aquariums worldwide. Australia is huge and has access to the ocean which I was expecting to spend hours but it was a good 45 minutes tour. My kids did not enjoy it at all.
A great place to quietly educate..take your time.get the kids to read the info panels to you.a lot of people miss whats right in front of them.cafe is nice..but pack your own if the budgets tight..a must see for 6 to 12 y olds.
Great layout and info, but parking is always a pain, food is expensive and low quality, and no enough to do to make it a day out. Also doesn't offer unlimited entry memberships like with Perth Zoo. So lovely, but just not worth going often. If they have the unlimited membership system or limited parking to customers only (rather than people going to the boat harbour filling it up), it would make it a bit more worthwhile the trip.
My daughter loves it. Yes it's not that big (but I cn see they are always trying to improve). My daughter will go through everything at least twice and not get bored. We only leave because she is tired.
They have completed the new playground - suitable for under 5
We also just had birthday party there on the weekend. The set up was great and the staff was friendly.
AQWA offer tourists and locals a dive into the underwater world of WA's beautiful coast. The aquarium's layout is nothing but traditional and will keep you entertained all the way to the end. You will not only see amazing specimens of fish and creatures found in this part of the world but also learn new facts every step of the way. There is a tank at the end where you can touch some creatures and an open area will give you amazing views of the ocean and marina. It is a must see if you are in Perth.
