We had a wonderful dinner here while in Innsbruck. I had the chicken schnitzel, which was very crisp and served with a delicious jam. My boyfriend had a house specialty with pork loin, spaetzle and green beans. Very reasonably priced. The only downside was that the tables are so close together that the ambiance is lacking.

Well we went there for a Meeting (15 ppl ) and ordered prefixed menus so they knew it was a big Meeting Group comming still they seated us in different tables. The Service was okayish we had always to wait extended periods for drinks and food Quality was not reasonable for the price we paid.

Came in on a Sunday for dinner but the kitchen was closed. Had a lovely bottle of wine and a tasting plate which were fantastic. It was a lovely place with a nice relaxed atmosphere

I never stay at a Holiday Inn or hotel I could find in the US when I travel. This hotel looked interesting on Orbitz.
I think it was originally a boarding house because of the design and the fact that the restaurant and bar were added in later.
The hallway lights are motion activated. When the elevator door first opens, it's very The Shining. Each floor has a very unique level of "someone is going to cut my face off and wear it" decor. And not in the cool way like John Travolta and Nicholas Cage before he got the Danny Devito in Batman Returns haircut. There are a lot of animal bones and old armoires with doors that don't quite shut.
As far as converting an alleged boarding house to a hotel, they didn't quite get it to 100%. There is no fridge. I can live with that because I have a window ledge and it's February. The one staple they forgot was a coffee machine. I can live without it because I just wait until I'm at the cafe. Most people would want one though.
My experience was quite different at this hotel though. I'm weird, so I always leave the do not disturb sign up for my entire stay. According to Netflix's writers of Dirk Gently, having the sign up for 24 hours is weird. This hotel doesn't have a sign to hang on the door. I asked the concierge for one, but they don't have it. As a result, I asked him to not give me any house keeping for my entire stay. He wrote it down, but I was less than confident.
I spent the next day taking a train to Italy to sightsee and came back by 4:00pm. When I arrived at the door to my room, it wasn't closed all the way. I was able to push the door open without my key and I saw that my room had been refreshed by the housekeeper.
Even though nothing was missing, I was very upset by this. I couldn't find the concierge, but the man at the bar offered to help me. He ended up speaking to the owner and making sure it would not happen again.
Apparently, craft breweries here also drop off beer samples to bars. So, a bottle of beer was gifted to me to make up for the room. Pretty cool.
The next day, one of the staff members stopped me to ask why I didn't want housekeeping. None of your business, right? I told her I just don't make a mess.
Overall, The hotel is located in a good spot to walk everywhere. They have a restaurant and bar if you don't want to go too far. It's up to you if you want to stay here. I have no recommendation either way.

Unique and truly special Tyrolian atmosphere. Fine food and delicious very big portions. Heaven. We were stuffed! Amazing. A piece of hidden gem. Enjoy
