Stayed at The Guesthouse from 24th till 27th November and we couldn't fault it at all. All the staff speak excellent English and are friendly, very welcoming and extremely helpful. Our room (602) was superb. Large and comfortable room with lounge area, large bathroom with bath and a walk-in shower and separate WC. Coffee machine, fridge, and FOUR bottles of wine PER day (2 red, 2 white) at no cost! Large walk-in wardrobe with safe. Every amenity available. The position of the hotel was important to us and it's at the heart of the city, with cafes, restaurants and shopping on the doorstep. It's also walking distance from many of Vienna's attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic central location. Wonderful rooms, staff are friendly, and they have added small touches like personalised address cards in case you get lost! So thoughtful! Would stay here again!

The Brasserie & Bakery: Friendly and professional service, elegant place, nice selection of breakfast and lunch. Though part of a boutique hotel it still can be enjoyed as a nice coffee house

This is a lovely hotel and the free wine is a great touch, just thought the photo at work around the hotel was a little bit of a strange choice. Some of it was a little disturbing. Would stay there again though.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Got FOUR bottles of wine comped for a one night stay! Staff is eager to help and very friendly. Only negative is that there is weirdly little lighting in the bathroom. Very minor issue though doesn't subtract from an excellent hotel.

This hotel is amazing. I stayed in the duplex room which was great and spacious, large bathroom. The hotel cares about the small things, and the friendly staff make your stay feel very personalised and individual. Highly recommended.

Located just off Albertinaplatz and within striking view of both the Albertina and Staatsopera, the Guesthouse Vienna is a little enclave that exudes a new world charm in its old world surroundings. I love the modern sensibilities in the decor and style.
The hotel is part of the Design Hotels group of boutique designer hotels which means they are chic yet small at the same time. No fancy lobbies (although the counter staff is helpful and friendly), no big meeting lounges apart from the Brasserie & Bakery which is amazingly good. In fact, it's so good especially the bacon that we return twice just to enjoy it a second time.
The hotel isn't big, which means there are limited rooms and much quieter stay. It feels more like a apartment living instead of a hotel. Clean lines and elegant choices mark the interior decor of the room, which is really chic and comfortable. My room came with a sofa set although I would have preferred a work desk to come along with the room as well. Perhaps work isn't on the agenda at all, but it makes working on a computer, even to research restaurants and cafes a little less comfortable. Outside of that, the room is absolutely delightful.
Cuboid windows that perch out provide an ample lounge space for a good book, coffee and the view of the square outside. It's even decorated with a lamp, throw pillows and some ready selection of books.
Like many boutique hotels, the mini bar is fully equipped and complimentary and even includes a selection of wines for me to fully enjoy.
Location wise, the Guest House is perfect. It's right next to the Staatsopera and Albertina. Just a short walk takes you the shopping street of Kärntner Straße, the Hofburg Imperial Palaces and the St Stephan Cathedral. The major tram transit on Ringstrasse outside the Staatsopera takes you everywhere in Vienna including to the Belvedere Palace and north to the river. Public transit is easy to navigate.
I really love the chic apartment feel of the hotel and would gladly make this my home in Vienna on my future visits. Definitely on the top of amazing hotels list.

This is not a 5 star hotel even though they list it as 5 star. When we complained of the very bad pillows and bed we were told that this was not a 5 star hotel but a boutique hotel with no stars. We therefore felt scammed as we were in the belief that we had booked a 5 star hotel, which should have comfortable beds and pillows. The pillows in this hotel are ridiculous and it´s very hard to get a good nights sleep on their beds.

British couple in out 40s here for the weekend. Overall very positive. A couple of things that stop it being 5*. Right in the centre of everything that's good to do in Vienna. Comfortable rooms, free mini bar, friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely come back. Arrived after the advertised checkin time to be told room wasn't ready so had to wait 10 minutes. First floor rooms above the restaurant pick up a little noise from downstairs until the restaurant closes and first thing when setting up, mostly it's chairs being moved. Firmer pillows were requested, still had to fold the very soft pillows in half to improve comfort when sleeping. Small things, but some room for improvement. Doesn't detract from a great stay at a nice hotel in a perfect location in an awesome city :)
