Beautiful place! Very nostalgic. Food was ok, service ok.
A classic Viennese coffee house that has marked it's 100 year anniversary. The decor is a classic Mid century refit that has been retained without much embellishment. The food is nothing special (though not bad) but the ambience is just wonderful.
Note to travellers: currently a cash-only establishment so don't expect to use your cards here.
Nice service, great beer. Nice to have piano player on certain nights. The desserts are also delicious.
What a lovely cafe with very friendly, fast service and tasty food! Definitely make sure you come on a night with live music (pianist). Very gezeilig.
A nice cafe but nothing special. The cakes are good and pricing is reasonable for Vienna. Would highlight that speaking German does help. The place has a good layout. The mediocre score is more to do with it not being at a 4 star level in terms of quality of service and the coffee (while good) not being on the highest of levels. This place is value for money through and through
Really busy place, but fast service and great strudels!
This was by far my fav cafe in Vienna, service was great with friendly waitstaff and it has a great selection of deserts. We tried three different cakes and every single one was mind blowing, it's a great place to chill and spend hours. Certain days there is live piano music to accompany your dining experience(check website for dates and times). Overall it's a cafe with great atmosphere, dessert and coffee and hot food.
One of my favorite Café's in Vienna. Amazing 70s decor, good cake and food, reasonable prices.
I can't give it 5* because the staff are really rude. This isn't an accident, and is somewhat "expected" to the Viennese, but if you a a tourist it isn't nice.
they owners of that café are homophobic. don't support them please! there are other great cafés in vienna avoid this one. discrimination is damaging to our community.
Delicious cakes, but coffee and espresso out of an automatic mashine. Still - very cool, oldschool place with nice people.
Apparently a fairly classic breakfast and coffee shop in Vienna. The atmosphere was pleasant and the decor is fun if you like a bit of a throwback. The service was a little questionable however this seems to be typical of Austria for some reason.
Interesting place, 100years old cafe. Fast service.
Had a quick soup and some tea, both were tasty.
Tables are small though and you have to squeeze a little. Free wifi available and the place can be used for a short working period for working.
Way too crowded, too loud, and bad service. Advertised as a typical classy Vienniese coffeehouse but it actually does not even come close to meet expectations.
You would be better off finding somewhere else to go.
Breakfast here is excellent. For the two mornings we ate brekky here was the place to go. Food is reasonably priced and very fresh. They also have menus in multiple languages.
Clasic Vienna coffeehouse. Great breakfast but classic, no fancy Mediterranean cuisine. Service is a little slow but prices are good. Nice collection of newspapers to go with your breakfast.
