This was our first Michelin star dining experience, and it was absolutely incredible! We've since been to four other Michelin star restaurants throughout Italy, and Steirereck is by far, still the highlight of our entire 5 week honeymoon. We did the 10 course tasting menu, and were there for 3+ hours. Each course is served with such finesse, and we really appreciated the tent cards with fun facts, and a description of how they source their ingredients. They had carts galore -- one for bread, one for cheese, a "bee cart" with a piece of honeycomb that you could taste! Service was impeccable, as were their manners. Highly highly recommend, and we cannot wait to return ourselves.

Definitely deserves its reputation of being one of the best restaurants in the world. The meal is an experience but, contrary to other “foodie” destinations, the servings are generous. Impressive wine selection. The bread cart had more than 25 choices and the cheese cart over 60! There is even a variety of several kinds of honey. But make your reservations!

We came to Vienna for our honeymoon, and our dinner at Steirereck was the highlight! We ordered the seven course degustation, and the food was magnificent! The complexity and flavours demonstrate mastery of the highest level. Our wait staff were courteous and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was warm and pleasant. This was, by far, the best dining experience I have had, to date. I highly recommend Steirereck to anyone visiting Vienna!

Votes top 20 in Europe and the lived up to the hype. Great service, great food and great view out the wall to wall windows. I was brave and tried calf brains as an appetizer and it was crazy delicious. Fortune favors the bold

I would normally give such a place much higher ratings, but the service has a long way to go at this place - or at least during brunch it does. We came here for brunch on a very hot day in August. The restaurant is located in the park, right by the river. The decorations are pleasant, and it's a nice getaway from the sun.
When we came to the doors, the place was practically empty, only a couple tables were busy. We asked for a table for two, but the lady told us that she can't sit us because she "doesn't handle" such responsibilities, and that she will alert the person who can sit us. A couple minutes later we were still standing at the entrance. Another person came by, and we asked to be seated, but she just shrugged and ran off somewhere. Only the male waiter finally took us to our table. Why did it take so long to get a table even though the restaurant was empty? Why didn't the staff seem to care?
We ordered brunch, and when the food finally arrived we were pretty amazed. The portions are large, and it is served in an appealing and original way. One part of my brunch was the goulash - the beef was tender and juicy. The sauce not too thick, with interesting herbs.
Going back to the service - when we wanted to order some more drinks, the waiters were nowhere to be found once again - like they were hiding somewhere.

One of the best and unique dining experiences ever. We had made a booking and that was somehow lost however the staff were very accommodating and made arrangements for a table anyway. Every dish was perfect and it was cooked to reflect the Viennese culture and history. The interior and building design were also very memorable. Absolutely reccomend this restaurant.

Amazing experience of seasonal selection.
Kaki dessert is divine. Love how they store their cheese and seed in the glass room. Feeling organic and homemade here. We bought back some homemade tea and honey, and it is one of the best tea we have ever tried.response / report this review -

Food was good but we had to wait an hour in order to get our food (wienner schnitzel). Also the waiter treated us very bad (he didn't pay attention to us and was very rude). At the end of the lunch he got angry because we didn't want to tip him because of his terrible service.

Fantastic atmosphere - very "a single man" 1960s feel in a modern way. Of course the food is excellent and the staff are amazing.
