Fast, efficient, courteous people. As long as you create an appointment and have the documents, it all goes smoothly

I had to call several times to get an appointment for picking up my drivers licence. Most of the time My call was forwarded to the wrong department and I was blamed even though they literally redirected me there. When asking for the phone number of the right department I was redirected and again - blamed. Most workers are very rude and don't seem like they want to help you. Furthermore, the working hours are a joke. However, you can call from 8 - 15:30. Can't wait to never have to call there again.

Typical Austrian/German bureaucracy, but if you just wait patiently then you'll get everything done. Anyway, works much better than elsewhere in the world, I can promise you that!

There is a copy machine which charges €0.34 a copy, and a photo booth.

They don't like speaking in English, which is understandable, but if you don't get aggressive about it and are prepared to wait, then in time they will help you in English

I went there for replacing my driving license. The queue was short. The person from the information desk refused to speak in English. Maybe he doesn’t speak English However, the person from the office where I left the documents was very kind and patient and had no problem in speaking with me in English. Therefore, my suggestion is that the person from the information desk should be able/willing to speak English as well.

Never go there or call them if you speak English. They will hate you for that in a very first second and they will try to send you back home without answers. You can try call them but it is the same, even some times they just shout the phone couse they don't speak English. So this is my experience from calling more then 20 times and also going to the police station about 10 times in COVID19 period.

On the website it says "express driving licence for 17eur additional" but they tel you that "its not available".
We just came in to "translate" our driving licence to a Austrian one. They told us 3 MONTHS WAITING (OR EVEN MORE), so they apparently translate 1 letter per week . Took 60eur from me, 3 months, 3 MONTHS . I had a job waiting for me, I dont even know if Im going to be alive in 3 freakin' months! Isnt Austria one of the developed countries???
UPDATE: I have waited 4 MONTHS (you read that right) and my friend who filled the application together with me, waited 5 MONTHS 10 DAYS , for a simple translation of the drivers licence. They tell you its "4 months max" , jesus christ.

Hauptsache zahlen muss man SOFORT!!!

Hass.
