Quite old hotel; needs renovation but still clean and in the centre of Linz; walking distance to everywhere

The staff is nice, the hotel is central in the city center and close to train station, the residence rooms are nice and relatively spacious with nice decoration and conveniently equipped cooking equipment. However, the internet is very slow in rush hours (impossible to skype or stream videos at times), the water temperature in the shower is unstable (goes from normal to burning hot to colder), the cafeteria room smells horrible, there is no possibility to get a double bed in the residence, there are only chairs (although comfy ones) with no couch in the residence room and the weekly cleaning service will be skipped entirely on a given week if the cleaning day happens to be a national austrian holiday.
