Consulate has taken several good steps to save our time and to improve the efficiency of the consulate. They have uploaded most of the application on the web with guidelines. Service giving by most of the front office staff also good, but unfortunately, some staff still not changed and providing a poor service. Staff like Wanni****chi (name removed) don't know some of the basic ethics government servants need to follow. Staff like her ruins the entire effort putting by the consulate to uplift the standard of their service.

If you would like to go back to 70's or 80's, you should def visit this place as they don't use the computers. They only have those ancient times book keeping system for all records and they even dont have a card swiping machine. Be prepared, its been 2 months and I haven't got my renewed passport yet. It would spoil the image of our country. In sri lanka its a bit modern but away they are still thinking its 1985.

Very efficient!!
Was there for an affidavit required for a house maid visa application. Job was done in less than 30 minutes, the process was simple and from the receptionist to the authorising / issuing officer all were friendly and helpful.

They charge AED 555 for a renewal of passport .. A total rip off and it's not even fast track takes a good lengthy 2.5 months

Very effective and friendly service, cannot expect from any Sri Lankan government office. But Consulate General office in Dubai is way high than it. Specially Mr. Roshan and the lady who was in consular officer counter.. hats off..

Today I had call them around 12:15pm to get some information as I am staying in Ajman it's very difficult me to do travelling, if I miss any documents I am unable to get back again on time. The person who answered the call was very unprofessional, he did not give any attention to me and was chatting with someone else and without even answering question he bang the phone, after that I tried 6 attempt but no one pick the line. Anyway it's very disappointing please teach some basic telephone manners to your operators and this not the first time I have experienced similar issues. Please ask them to give some respect to Sri Lankans.
