The cave was amazing, one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The guide however was extremely bored, she rushed through the cave fast leaving us no time to enjoy. Recommended to train the staff.

Definitely the most exhilarating cave tour - the stairs at a 46 deg angle
The metal lift that descended through the canopy of the cave
The tour guide that has so much patients and knowledge made this the most amazing cave for us
Even at 76 - my mom loves every minute of this beautiful cave From the main entrance 87 steps at a 46 degree angle takes you down to the mine elevator. You then drop slowly down a further 18 Metres ( about 6 stories ) to the main cavern! It is an absolute wonder !! The air is fresh. No creatures or plant material at all. It is lit slightly and walkways are easily negotiable but uneven as you go up and down and around them. Railings allow further views down below. Dolomite stalactites and stalagmites visible everywhere. It is an awesome sight. Geologically fascinatingresponse / report this review -

I have been to the caves two or three times over the last 2 decades. Today I had the opportunity of taking my kids there for the first time.
Every time I have been I feel like I learn something and the experience is worth it. The guides are informative and throw in a little humour from time to time as well.
There are some stairs to climb. Just to get down to the lift you face 87 or so stairs at a steep decent and you have to climb them to get out the cave as well. That said, it's not overly taxing and they never rush you. It's a great experience.response / report this review -

A great place to visit in this summer heat, given that the cave is really cool and has a constant temperature of 16 degrees all year round (cool, right?!) Getting down the cave is simple but coming back up again? Lets just say you'd have to be fit. 4 stars because no halaal menu available for muslims. Overall, great and educational experience

This is a beautiful cave system close to Johannesburg & Pretoria that is well worth the visit. The cave itself is small compared to the other ones found in South Africa, but its beauty sure makes up for size. The entrance to the cave is quite steep with a long staircase down, so this might be a bit difficult for small children or old people to climb up and down but not impossible. They have a tuck shop close to the entrance of the cave which is nice a you will be thirsty after climbing all those stairs to get back out. If you like caving then this one should not be missed.

The caves and the guide were great. After a lot of climbing up and down we as a group went to the restaurant at the caves - they closed while we were in the caves and nobody could even provide water to drink. If you go there take your own drinks and food and be prepared for the anti climax
