It is great value for money. Staff is friendly. Thanks for a good day.
A great public facility and open to all golfers. The course requires a bit more consistent maintenance but is playable and is a proper golfing layout. Old club house but friendly staff and very affordable catering and green fees. The course is a 18 hole par 72 playing at 6 111 meters. There is also a 9 hole par three chipping course at the premises. Well worth a visit for a game of golf.
Cheapest round of golf in durban but what you pay for isn't nearly commensurate with what you receive.
Changing rooms are dingy and make me feel like a schoolboy again.
Greens are slow and flat, 3/10. But the rest of the course is generally well maintained with a few pretty holes. Generally not a challenging course if you hit the ball reasonable straight.
Bunkers are almost never maintained with vet firm sand making you drop shots unfairly.
Grass was a bit long when I was there last but the price of a round is quite cheep
Certainly improving compared to a few years ago
Love it Nice pub too
Play golf on Tuesday love the environment
Best public golf course in SA. Close proximity to great local eateries and beaches.
The best golf course in Durban right now Greens are perfect
Incredible parkland municipal golf course now expertly maintained by greenkeepers from Leitch Landscapes. Wide variety of trees planted by Durban Parks Department about 80 years ago. Three holes run alongside the Umgeni River mouth. Costs less than $10 US to play 18 holes. Welcome relief from the coastal bush courses up and down the east coast of the province.
Local municipal golf course, low cost.
