Place needs a serious upgrade, staff were friendly and helpful. So much more can be done

Service was okay. Place needs a serious upgrade. The tranquility garden is non existent, the games room looks like it came out of a horror film, and the toilets in the game room is creepy. The lights look like daggers.

They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Arranged meals for us in Ramadaan.

The place needs a compete overhaul. From reception, rooms to food. Not a good idea.

I have just spent the weekend at the Hotel 2 nights. On Sunday evening myself and my husband could not sleep because their were small insects in our beds and crawling on our skins not sure if it was dust mites but it was terrible. The breakfast was good though and the service. Our shower was not working on arrival. They really need to upgrade an invest in mini fridges in the rooms. They wont see me in a hurry.

Pretty bad service with regards to food. We only had scorching hot water in our room because the cold tap would not open. The dryer was also not working.

This is prime property. However if you're only looking for a clean bedroom and simple breakfast, helpful staff and great views from the 'Honeymoon Suites" at a good price and can overlook certain irritations like the staff's less- than- 100% cleaning abiliities and the fact that no upgrading has been done since possibly the inception of this establishment, its well worth staying over.

Really nice place to stop over when travelling along the Garden Route. Breakfast was fantastic! Definitely going back there some time soon

This hotel is in extremely bad conditions. The food is not good, the security box does not work, the air conditioning neither. The attention is very bad, it is better to say that there is not attention. Whenever you ask for something you have to insist a hundred million times to get what you need. The cleaning is bad, when I just arrived to the hotel my sheets were full of hair and dirty as well as the floor. I am completely dissapointed with this hotel, even windows are broken.

I read many of the reviews and suppose there must have been a lot of improvement since those bad reviews. My hubby and I booked in for a overnight stay 6 May 2017 and was taken to an ocean facing room immediately. Although a bit on the outdated side with the shower inside the bath, I must say everything was neat, clean and tidy with bath towels, hand towel and bath mat all in place (unlike some old reviews) and lovely smelling hand soap with rooibos products the body wash, shampoo and moisturizer and a hair dryer in the draw which is plugged in & ready to use The rooms are extremely spacious with flat screen and DStv booklet with remote control at hand (unlike older review). We phoned room service and ordered a light supper and was extremely satisfied with the portion sizes, presentation and taste.
The beds had neat crisp linen n very nice fluffy pillows (unlike an older review). I'm one to travel with my own special pillow but didn't need to take it out of the car. Breakfast is included in the price but unfortunately due to commitments we had to check out before breakfast thus can't comment on the menu but the person in the next room whom I met at the pool, mentioned the lovely breakfast and how much their family enjoyed it. For the young kids there's a jungle gym and a sand box inside a playpen where you can safely leave your toddler's to play while you take a dip in the pool a few meters away.
Although a bit of maintenance needed here n there, it definitely does not effect a nice relaxing stay over at the Wilderness Beach Hotel and if you looking for a 5 star hotel then pass by but do not expect to pay such affordable rates. You might not even get something with such a magnificent view as this place have to offer.

Out dated. Staff over worked. No security or control in tact. Parking is used by anyone so first come first served. Anyone can use facility even if they do not stay at the hotel. Great location with a nice view and easy access to beach. False advertising and no bar on site. No extractor fan in bathroom. Fully Halaal as also not advertised.
