Don’t expect much in the way of facilities!

It’s fun to sleep on the train. It’s a delight to have the sounds of waves to go to sleep to. The view in the morning is fantastic.

You’ve paid almost nothing for all that, then they give you breakfast to top it off.

Friendly staff and very cosy. Very clean. Value for money. Large portions of food in the restaurant . Will recommend any time. Small space but that gives the train atmosphere

Nice little place. Nothing special but the place is clean and sleeping in a train is a cool experience. I am 6'2 (188cm) and beds are to small for me. One night was enough for me. Anyone under 6' (180cm) Will fit in the beds fine. Restaurant has good food and the breakfast is great. Location is also good by the sea however I was told it's not a safe area to walk at night.

Royal Suite was comfortable, pity hot water was intermediate. Room cosy and hearing the waves was a pleasant way of falling asleep. Another good thing about the Royal Suite is that you have a save parking spot. The restaurant needs a lot to be desired for. Continental breakfast consisted of water melon and green bananas and bread or toast. Nothing continental about that. Dinner nothing to speak about. Cannot recommend at all

Enjoyed the stay next to the beach. Perfect for sleeping over one night. There should apparently always be hot water, but both my showers were freezing cold. Other than that it was a relaxing stay.

The restaurant there was good compared to others. Not great. For backpackers, the accommodation is good. Not for me. Not private and very basic as it is old locomotive coaches.

One of the most unique destinations you will ever visit. A very different experience compared to the normal run of the mill accommodation we are acustomed to. If you want to try something different than this would be it. Enjoying a train coach experience on the beach front, simply stunning.Very well managed and the views are breathtaking.

One of the most scenic views on the Garden Route and staff are always obliging and pleasant, nothing is too much. We love it and will always advertise it. Portions are also reasonable as well as prices. Thank you.

The accommodation clean and convenient. Staff friendly and kind. Hearing and being able to see the sea from your bed was amazing. Thanks to all the staff there for being such good hosts.

I did not stay at Santos, however I am giving this rating just for sheer customer service. We just went there looking for room availability and to our misfortune they were fully booked. However their staff went the extra mile and called few places to see if we could get a place to stay. Now that's 5 star for me. Hope I get to stay the next time!!!

Stay over in a real train at Santos beach. Experience this and eat on the sundeck with a nice bar. The view from the rooms are beautiful. The train are recommended for the train experience.

The idea of sleeping on a train is great! The view from the room was stunning! The price is fair! The atmosphere was lively and youthful! However, simple hygiene would not cost much. Hand soap in the bathroom, decent supply of toilet paper, a simple vacuum of the carpet would not go amiss either! And maybe supply the guests/room with towels too.. A shame.. I wouldn't go again.. Maybe the deluxe carriage would be a better option. Certainly at a higher price.

I got a single room. Bed and duvet were very comfy. Great view of the ocean from the bed. Really enjoyed it in the morning. Lovely buffet breakfast with toasts, fruits, coffee, tea, orange juice and cereals, also worth view on the beach. The only thing I didn't enjoy is the shared toilet and shower but I knew that before booking. Great place to spend the night

friendly reception. sleeping spots very small but fun. within short driving distances of mall. u will need a special adapter to charge your laptop, otherwise u will need to ask reception to charge every time. best thing is breakfast. toast and butter seems to be unlimited. draught beer is very cheap. also they made a very quick plan for usctobstay additional nights.
