Certainly has the best view out of all the virgin actives. This one squash courts toy can book via the app. Ample free parking and usually not as busy as the other branches.

A decent virgin active, relatively big enough for the amount of avid gym goers. They have quite a big cardio section downstairs and a smaller one upstairs, with a lot of weight machines. You might have to share the machines as there aren't as many. It's not too busy which I like and it's open late. It has a pool, a Kauai and even an elevator for wheelchair's. You can run on the treadmill while looking at the mountain. Who doesn't want to do that?

A sauna does not need water, Cool off on the chairs!!!
Guys really, the sauna does not need water to function so why turn it off? Your answer is because people use the showers frequently and that is why you turn it off. Well how about providing some plastic chairs with a sign saying COOL OFF HERE INSTEAD. Print a sign and place it on the door facing inwards (because let’s face it every looks out) at remind them to save water “LETS SAVE WATER AND ENJOY YOUR 2 MINUTE SHOWER AT THE END”
Let’s not get me wrong here, I am a water wise person. Hardly use water at home. I have changed my garden with fake lawn, built a deck and planted aloes that I use my grey water for them to survive. I only flush the toilet for a number two. Most people are water wise now days…. Why should I have a facility that I pay for taken away from me? Cape town water situation will not correct overnight, more than likely not within years. With the constant growth of the city I don’t see you helping the water crises by NOT building any more Virgin Active clubs. I have actually virgin active clubs around than ever before. All the companies that use the water are the problem, your company is part of the problem not the solution. Save water and stop building Virgin Actives. Nope that won’t happen. We know this…. More virgin active clubs = more members = more $$$$
The way I see it, the decision that was made to turn off the sauna was due to the raising costs of liter of water. This increase from Virgin Active had to be controlled to ensure they do not pay the unnecessary increases that users (virgin active) are taxed (by the municipality). This is not on guys, I pay my membership and therefore I shall receive what I pay for. Let me adjust my water consumption and you provide me with the services I pay for in my contract…. O no wait that’s it, I’m locked in a contract. You are just like all the other companies…… lock them in, take their money, go on holiday….. Shame on you.

Decent equipment and very friendly staff. Definitely one of the better Virgin Active's in the Cape Town area. Ample parking outside, pool and squash courts inside as well and an outdoor gym area.

Excellent facilities. It is quite obvious why this is the flagship. Squash courts, a pool, and an outside gym are part of what's on offer. It never seems overly busy and parking is a breeze. Superb view of table mountain on show. Very friendly and helpful staff.
