Valley lodge has been going for years
Italian owners are wonderful people
Unfortunately been taken for a ride by staff members on many occasions. However the spa is still standing and they seem to do very well even tho the staff is getting poached by a smaller unprofessional spa up the road.
A small town where small town nonsense happends . however o find them very professional and they have extremely clean and hygienic premises .
A good day for the spa and a lovely lunch

Good property close to Johannesburg suitable for a weekend with younger children. Renovated rooms look great; older rooms are a bit tired. Breakfast buffet is good but dinner was fairly ordinary. Zebras roam the property to remind you you're in Africa.

Although ageing slightly and the decor dated, it still provides a tranquil, peaceful and reasonably maintained up market getaway. Rambling gardens with a few zebra trimming the lawn and the lazy Magaliesberg river lined with old trees makes for a natural environment to be enjoyed. Drink can be served at the vast swimming pool and suntanning area. The buffet dinner was very tasty indeed covering a full range of dishes.

What an amazing experience. Some of challets are close to the river. Mine was so you wake up to the sound of the river and the birds. It has a hiking trail, you can bird watch and see a Zebra live. The food was also amazing.

Lovely stay. Compared to other 4* places the staff didn't make us feel very welcome. Restaurant staff were friendly and the food was great!
During the night someone stole all of our things on our balcony and NOTHING was done to solve this. We reported it twice and after the 3rd time, they said we can call the manager, who wasn't here and can talk to him later.

This place is amazing,the stuff is friendly and very helpful. We had a glitch with our booking and they managed to sort it out. The place is well looked after. My kids enjoyed the activities. I'm going back very soon

Friendly helpful staff. Most serene place I have visited in a very long time! The spa was equally relaxing with handmade truffles that must be straight from heaven. Breakfast was delicious and one is spoilt for choice with coffee that gives you a lovely boost until lunch! The spa has it's own pizza oven and all that can be said is yummy! The free wifi is fast!An experienced that will stay with me!
