Best airport in South Africa and I am from Cape Town! Why? The people! Everyone friendly and airport very clean too. Plenty shops and eateries. Also cater for smokers.

Very well set up airport. All that you need is available to you. Great to have a Woolworths available also wimpy, spur, mugg and bean and many others. Friendly and helpfull staff, clean bathrooms and a great airport

Best airport!!! Helpful and friendly staff. Clean and neat facilities. Great places to eat and shop. Ablution and prayer facilities available. Well organised process and not much delays. Easy to read signs to find your way. A place South Africans can be proud ofits a place full of culture and heritage that just envelopes you with the warmth of South Africa as you arrive.

One of my favorite airports I've had the pleasure of using. The layout is not confusing (as some are) the decor is really stunning. Experiencing it as a 'tourist' was so exciting. The Food court has some favorites.. Security guards are friendly. Quite modern internally, bathrooms are clean..with funky signs to inform you on who goes where. They deserve every star.

Efficient airport. Easy to navigate. Competent staff. Fast security screening. Clean lavatory facilities. Good shops and restaurants for its size. Lots of parking. Very clean building. Well maintained. Nice lounges.

One of the easiest airports to navigate. Excellent signage, visible and clear directions for different parts of the airports. The staff are always friendly at check in points and security check points.

The murals tells it all, Africa, but surprisingly service were good and the staff I dealt with friendly. I navigate easily and found most of the larger food franchises present with some of them extending their service area close to the lawns which is nicely laid out.

The Mphupu Airline Lounge in the International Section is very poor. The facilities are fine but there is no service, poor food options.

Smaller one of the major airports in South Adrica. The airport is well designed and staff are generally friendly. The aiprort is not very busy and baggage collection is generally quick. There are several car rental companies just outside the arrivals terminal. There is a nice woolworths store inside the terminal building that has fresh on the go sandwiches and other food.

This airport is quite new, well maintained and clean. There are reliable public buses that takes you to the city centre for R80. Definitely one of the best airport in South Africa.

The greatest airport experience in South Africa in fact on the African continent as a whole.
A very well thought out and executed plan by the Durban municipality not only is the airport located in an absolutely beautiful location its architectural style welcomes travelers to the African continent in such an astounding manner of excellence. Easy to navigate and with out a doubt a testament to modern African art with direct Zulu influence worth my tax money which more that I can say for a lot of things in present day South Africa

..I was total-lii amazed that Durban had a New Air Port situated on the North side this I only realized when the Taxi was travelling south on the freeway! Never-the-less I was Impressed at the shear Size and the effort put in to make it Look Good!! The very Artful Mosaic Tiled Pillars are Very Pretty! They also have a complete Food Court area which houses most of the popular food outlets..Even had time to have a quick bite on the go at our favourite place, KFC, a burger, zinger wings & chips!!! Very Impressive!!!..
