Best airport with great flight agencies

Its small but it works, the coffee shop functions well and the waitress that served us was polite and friendly, I also found that checking in and baggage handling were quick and easy to process, once the aircraft is ready its a quick walk on the airfield to board the plane. Overall I had a decent experience to and fro from Pietermaritzburg Oribi Airport

Service is OK, but some of the shops inside the airport building are closed down. This doesn't present a good impression of the premises. The departure seating area does not have free Wi-Fi which is disappointing

Proudly Pietermaritzburg's gateway. I do agree with the terminal needing expansion though. With flights to both Jhb & CT now available, no excuses for passengers to schlep to King Shaka.The more we use it,the cheaper it'll become.

Far more convenient than driving to Durban for flights to Joburg or Cape Town; however, the terminal is extremely small and cramped - especially during check in and arrivals. This airport is in serious need of a terminal expansion.
Passing security and boarding is extremely swift though which makes this airport a better option when flying, if you're from the Midlands/Highway area. Nice restaurant as well.response / report this review -

Small airport. No easy drop off and pick up zones. You have to pay for parking regardless of time spent there.

Motor cyclists are not catered for at all. There is no easy drop off/ pick up zone: one has to get a ticket and then pay and exit via a slow exit procedure. Yesterday evening cost me R25 for a stay of 2 hours and 3 minutes: the length of time having been caused by the flight being half an hour late. Don't waste time phoning the airport using the number on Municipality website. The one elicits the message "does not exist" and other number just rings and rings. Ah well, what can one expect from our dysfunctional municipality?
