Stayed at 129a Arendshoogte
Utopia Nature Estate.

Spectacular views and has that real African bush veld feel. However, the room is small, the hot water tap doesn't work, the kitchen appliances are below basic. For R1000 a night self catering its not worth it. There is no restaurant and the nearest shop is a decent 15min drive so make sure you are well stocked. While I understand the back to nature theme, no TV solar powered house so the lights do not light up the little dwelling sufficiently, for the price we paid maybe the owners should consider other little luxuries like maybe a bundle or two of wood for the boma? The braai stand also needs replacement and cleaning. I had to clean off the previous tenants leftovers from the grill, disgusting.

Absolutely horrible. No towels, no pots , no soaps (the small ones they always have available to guests) no tv, no covers for the outside table and chairs as it was wood and splinters caught two of the children sitting on the chairs yet next door we saw they had seat overs or pillows to cover the chairs. The place is extremely small for a "4 sleeper" and the showers did not give hot water at all. Paint was everywhere and the building smelled of putty or paint as it looked like they were building there and did not complete or cleaned proper before we arrived. The pictures are very deceiving and I will never book this place ever again and the money paid a night for this is a ripoff!!!!! No map available to us, no info book in the place so we could get our way around the place etc. it was also very noisy as our neighbours were basically stuck to our wall so close was their apartment to us. Horrible . Yet again next door it seemed they had a tv, proper outside table and covers but we had nothing.

The place is absolutely gorgeous, a piece of heaven, lots of trees, baboons, monkeys. 3 pools catering for everyone. You have an outdoor chess by the club house, tennis court and more. Family friendly and super safe. My favourite is the access to Mountain Sanctuary. It's also not far from weavers pub, if don't feel like preparing anything, let's not forget my unit had beautiful view of Buffelspoort dam.

What a peaceful and relaxing place. Nestled in the African bush, surrounded by nature, it is truly the perfect family getaway. It offers 3 swimming pools, putt putt, jungle gyms, restaurant, nature trails and wild life. A beautiful rock pool and river too. And if in your haste to left some essentials behind, it's just a short drive into town. And don't forget to stop in at Tree Tops farm stall for a wide range of fresh fruit and yummy home made goodies that are to die for.

Utopia is located in sublime natural settings in the Magaliesberg Biosphere Reserve. The units are owned on a sectional title basis and only a few owners may choose to rent out their chalets.
There are crystal clear rivers and pools and numerous hikes such as Tonquani and Cederberg Kloofs, as well as shorter walks in the property. There is a playground, putt putt and swimming pools as well as a small restaurant/bar at the main building/office.
