Awesome environment. Picnic area, Fleamaket to cater for everyone from hand craft to toys as well as food. Wooden spoon cuisine stall caters halal food and their butter chicken dish is out of this world.

A trip to a past of innocence and beauty in every way.
The Journey starts early and is always bustling with ticket sales confirmations taking a bit of time. Allow time for this as well as time for the stop at the other end.
There journey was breathtaking in both beauty and historical information. The guides and people involved work in a professional manner that is truly at world class standards.
Seeing a blacksmith at work making items on your request and model toy train villages that I thought were impossible to make by hand are just some of the many enthralling things to see.
Thus was a highly memorable experience and one that is unmissable if you have kids.

What a lovely rustic outing for the family. The oldies reminisced about the "good old days" while the kids were amazed by the "olden days". The rest of us enjoyed the scenery which we never see while racing past in our cars

Great train trip for the kids. Magnificent views of the valley of 1000 hills. The little market at the Inchanga station is nice to spend some time at with some interesting food stalls.

The train itself is vintage and could do with some more restoration but the trip was thoroughly enjoyable.

This was a fantastic experience. Thank you to all these passionate volunteers who are involved with this project. You do amazing work preserving steam trains.

i don't know why i waited so long to do this. it was good fun and the market at the top of the hill was great. top class pizza and home made pies. i recommend every south african should do this. keep it going for generations to come.. provided racism does not get out of control and we all kill each other off.. but i am hoping one day we will all just get along and we wont need a leader who calls the shots the choices will be brought down to us.. We the people.. as we are what makes this country Tick. not the Fat Cat sitting in a chair - Denying the fact that his team are doing everything for their own good i digress great trip plus when you come back you can have a chow and a drink at Stokers

Very cool place if you like trains or intrigued by them. We didn't manage to go on the train ride but we were able to walk around and look at the trains etc.
