We were a group of 11 people staying from Ireland, and have to say it is the worst stay ever. The rooms were spacious, grounds lovely, and it was clean. However, the host treated the group like school children. There is no flexibility from the host in regards to time of breakfast, even after a flight of 14 hours from overseas. Breakfast was not served later than 8am, and left a lot to be desired for a place that is rated nearly 5 Stars. If the host had a meeting, we were told "no breakfast" there is toast and tea. This is totally unacceptable. On arrival at the Guesthouse, we had some water, wine & beer, for which we obviosly got charged. We were leaving at 6am for a flight to Capetown, low and behold, the Host toldl us that she will be up at 4.15am to collect the money owed, now we talking about a couple of Rand, not the 55K that we spent there on accommodation alone. Was the host up at 4.15? Yes, to collect a couple of hundred rand, max R400. Did she think the group is going to run away, with all the baggage on the property? If the butter or tea was nearly finished and we asked for replacement, we were told. "You first finish that" and then I will give you more!! In this day and age it is unheard of!! Also, we had an incident in where one of the group slipped in the bathroom, there was quite a bit of blood, which we obviously cleaned up, but during the night the person's leg bled in bed. The host was advised what happened. On return from Sun City, when the person went to bed, the bloodied sheets were merely turned around, and not cleaned. When the Host was approached, she blamed her staff. Never ever, will we recommend anybody staying at this place.
