Seriously, the best place in Durban for coffee and a meal with one's daughter and mother-in-law. I go there at least once a month. The owner is a complete hoot! Fancies himself to be quite the comic.

Give credit where credit is due, that's what I say. This is a brilliant little coffee shop. It doesn't try to be anything else. Such a good vibe. I am not from this country and I am so glad I was able to visit here because it is a delightful memory I will take with me. I will be back, ceteris paribus.

When we got there we were greeted by friendly staff who seated us in the outside area. The service was very efficient and our waiter kept checking up on us. We had their milkshakes which were an absolute treat. For main meals we tried a variety of burgers and shared them. The pulled pork burger was incredible with a lot of flavour. The vegetarian burger had texture and flavour that we hadn't tasted before, out of this world. We ended off a huge meal with their buy one get one free waffles. Overall the experience was great and bill didn't hurt the pocket. We will be back.

Very reasonably priced cafe style restaurant. All day breakfasts with several vegetarian and healthy options.

Portions aren't too big. Good was good. Service needs a little work. Our waiter, Mercia, came across as being slightly nonchalant. Cutlery was slightly stained. Ice cubes are small and melt really fast.

Well done for speedy service and an excellent coffee on the go. Being from Cape Town where coffee is such an integral part of society, with a good coffee just a walk away, I always feel slightly coffeeless in other cities in SA but no longer in Durban

As a consequence of my chosen profession, I often have to travel and stay in different cities/towns overnight. I was in Durban for a couple of nights and I am usually out fer earlier than the breakfast service at most hotels/B&B establishments. And to be blunt, I find it a bit of a ripoff when I am asked to pay a flat rate for a breakfast which will be minimal.
I found this little coffee bar in Glenwood Village centre, Che Guevara Rd in Durban. The first thing I was impressed with was the service, the waitron Sasha, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. And the coffee was good (Which is a pre-requisite). And themenu was intelligently designed with options which appeal to me, like the ability to have a single poached egg on brown toast with raw tomato. And the eggs are sourced from a farm which has a free run policy. (I spoke with the owner). I could tell that a lot of local people use this establishment and it certainly will be on my radar for my next Durban trip.

Truly excellent coffee. So much so that we spoke to the shop owner who advised that is was Peacock Coffee from CT that they use for the cappuccinos that we ordered. Otherwise the brownie and ice-cream dessert lunch that I had was top class too. Great service staff and a nice vibe outside in the Durban sunshine.
