Very friendly staff, great place to wind down and relax, some trials, a pool, a bar, the rooms are rustic and very nice. Worth a mention, the hostess can braai like a boss!-top notch!

Clean with lots of character. Basic rooms. Host is very accommodating. Perfect stop for crossing the border. Safe parking close to the rooms. Shared kitchen with lots of fridges.

What an amazing place and amazing host! Loved staying in the rustic cabins! Also very close to the lake and felt very safe the whole time.

I stayed for 3 nights and although it was the slow season I enjoyed every minute of it. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Though no wifi and weak cellular signal it's a great place to get away and enjoy some recluse time.

Thobeka Backpackers is an idyllic hippie-haven and I recommend that you book accommodation long in advance in peak seasons not to be dissapointed. For a backpackers, they have everything you need a relaxed beach setting and chilled out staff and accommodation. They also braai some killer fish every night for their guests next to the pool. Truly the best low budge accommodation you'll get that captures the spirit of both Kozi and Sodwana Bay.
