An absolutely amazing place. Well worth the visit. Great place to snorkel, especially for a first timer like myself.

Accessible by 4x4 only and there are no shops so go prepared 👌🏻

Beautiful river mouth. Culturally very interesting with the historic fish kraals. However all of thus is spoiled by the uncontrolled and extensive illegal gill-netting taking place.

Undoubtedly amongst the very best natural places on the planet. Crystal clear warm water, perfect for snorkelling and swimming. Rustic accommodation, good primary roads, breathtaking views. A genuine bucket list place.

Beautiful and the snorkelling was amazing. The parking area and beach area was filthy after the Christmas celebrations. Permits are required to visit the area, this rule is however waived for locals.

One of the most beautiful areas in South Africa and well worth a visit.

Some visitors tend to play loud music which takes away from the magical experience of the area. Best to visit during low season.

Beautiful swimming area, perfect for snorkeling and lots of shallow pools for the kids. This nature reserve has security too. Be sure to travel to this location with a 4x4 or alternatively a high riding 4x2 due to sand dune road.
