Very comfortable community based eco lodge. Just 5min walk from the lake systems with plenty of activities and great fishing and snorkeling. Good restaurant or self catering options available

Wonderful accommodation, although road not recommended for a normal car, rather get a 4x4, friendly people, knowledgeable people, just an all round enjoyable experience. Went on a lake cruise, Michael the Captain was excellent. Would definitely recommend it to anyone heading in that direction

Had a great time there. The town is extremely busy so the lodge is ideal to break away from the madness. Great place!

About the best holiday I have ever had! This is a destination for the true adventurer, a great central location to all of the surrounding attractions. I can’t wait to go back.
The room staff are super discreet and quite efficient.
The restaurant makes lovely food with both outdoor and indoor seating. Classic coastal service so don’t go in a rush 😉
The dogs are super friendly and don’t bother a person at all. Very well behaved.
If you can travel by 4x4 this would be best to fully experience this still very rural part of South Africa. Use the gilly’s if you are a first time visitor, they are a great help.
Just a couple of things to do - Black Rock Beach, Kosi Mouth, Mozambique, the lakes and so much more.response / report this review -

Great place,great scenery, rooms are lovely, food is great, staff are attentive and friendly but they have a dog moving about in the restaurant (unless a dog belongs to a blind person, it has no place in the restaurant) no offence. Ohw and if you gonna be eating in their restaurant you must be prepared to wait a long time

Friendly staff. Very authentic rooms, cool setup. They also offer nice tours, and the restaurants has nice foods.

Decent spot to catch some sports, a few drinks, swim in the pool etc. Food was good albeit slightly on the expensive side.

Well, Kosi Bay Lodge was amazing I enjoyed the wonderful bush experience and loved the food that was made as I was there with a tour. All I really could complain about is that the water coming out of the shower was cold and never hot and the electricity was on and off the whole time or the lights did not work. But overall it was amazing and I want to thank Hanneke for making it even more phenomenal.
