A pub and restaurant combo with delicious food, Good decor, and welcoming staff. Located in Pilgrims rest, the whole experience has been very good and we came back for seconds. Arriving just after the restaurant closed, the staff allowed us to eat in the bar area instead and cooked for us.
The atmosphere is great and everyone here is accommodating and friendly.

Food was lovely, nice warm wholesome stew on a rainy day, staff were wonderfully friendly as well.
Just be aware if you parked close to the restaurant the car guards will wash your car without being asked (yep, even in the rain) then demand payment after.
Make it very clear you don't want your car washed or park somewhere else.response / report this review -

This is still a firm favourite. The restaurant is Family run and has a very good vibe. It has an old world charm about it. The servers are always friendly and the food good. The owners are always more than happy to make you feel welcome. Would recommend it to anyone.

It is allways a pleasure to visit The Vine Restaurant and Johnnys Pub. Excellent service and hospittality outstanding. Feels like home awau from home.

Great breakfast. Super boerewors, really worth a try. Nice atmosphere. Sit outside and watch the gentle trickle of people coming and going.

The best pub and restaurant in Pilgrim's Rest. One can never just walk past. Authentic furniture and great alcohol selection. Completely different areas to chill with completely different vibes. Perfect in all ways
