Very nice place, relaxing and comfortable. Only thing that needs improving for 5 stars is the waiters service, well that's my point of view i.e. because I'm in retail, service is what makes a specific place memorable. Otherwise very chilled

I love sitting outside on the couches overlooking the ocean! SENSATIONAL VIEWS, upmarket interior, lovely couches to have a cocktail before or after a meal.
I've had the mussels here as well as the fish and veg and I've never had a bad experience! The mussels were some of the best I've had in a creamy sauce and the fish and veg was also DELICIOUS

The venue is so classy. Perfect place for a Gil's day out, a luncheon, a dinner date, a party or a business meeting. The view is amazing and the menu is very impressive. I always recommend this venue if I meet someone new in town.

Location and view is great, but that’s about it. Service is ridiculous. My girlfriend is celiac (gluten intolerant), and the waiter had no idea what gluten is (he thought she couldn’t eat cheese and/or certain spices) after mentioning at least 5 times he should tell the chef and make absolutely sure what gluten is and that there should be none of it in the food, and after he reassured us that it’s been taken care off, she is now having strong stomach ache on our last night in Cape Town. Thanks for nothing.

For these prices one would expect professional and well trained service.
So only one star, as you can have the same view at other places, too.

It occasionally rains on dinner guests. Be careful as you walk around as it's easy to impale yourself on the popped collars of the establishment's clientele. The food is decent. The drinks have alcohol in them. We had a good time at their new years eve party.

I was looking forward to trying out The Bungalow as I have heard about it. The service was terrible, nobody wanted to serve our group. To make matters worse, the food was not good. 2 out if 12 people at our table said they enjoyed the food, the rest didn'tI expected more for the very high prices. We had to ask for cutlery. The bathrooms were not clean either. Disappointed at the experience at The Bungalow overall

A little showy for me. If you're the kind of person that likes to pretend they're in a LA music video they you'll fit right in.

The view is all you need. Plus fish was fresh a really nicely done. Very friendly staff, although you might get a feeling there is more waiter than guests at quieter times

Amazing views and delicious food and drinks. Their cocktails are to die for. Staff are really good. Very pricey though so be prepared.

Absolutely stunning place. If you’re in or around western cape looking for some fancy and relaxed place for dinner, then I strongly recommend the bungalow. The location and its view is ideal, quality of their products is excellent, the service staff very professional and will do anything to ensure you’re having a wonderful night. Although the room and terrace are quite spacious, I’d advise to book for a table during weekends as this restaurant can get quite busy.
PS : I had a thing for their white wine “Fleur du Cap” that I found divine ;)

In summer extremely packed but surely one of the best hangouts on warm winter days. Lovely sea views, relaxed people, good sushi and excellent wines like Delaire Graff Cab. Franc Rosé.

Amazing place to spend the afternoon/evening! We sat here on the couches from 4 pm until 8 pm watching the sunsets, drinking cocktails and enjoying dinner. Great food even better cocktails. and EVEN better views.

Great and chill place for a nice dish and drinks. Had Fish & Chips which was very nice. My friend had a beef burger and loved it as well. Portions are quite big.

Great location and view for drinks especially sundowners. Perhaps the best in Cape Town. Food is good, not excellent but The Bungalow is very expensive. You pay for the views but they are worth it. Trendy crowd and recommend making a booking as this place is very popular and often very very busy.

I would not recommend this to anyone looking for good food, service, and friendly atmosphere. It had none of these qualities. Food over priced and minimal, dirty restaurant, loud, drunk customers next to us who were sexually indecent and discriminated against us when we moved tables. This is really unfortunate at the location is stunning.

I had a lovely experience at the Bungalow. The food is wonderful and while you pay a premium price, the quality is second to none. Being right next to the ocean also adds to the experience.

Absolutely great, the sitting arrangement is awesome! I go there to eat and watch the sunset. You need to book in advance at times. Great service, with awesome views. They usually have a DJ that plays cool tracks. Overall a place to enjoy with good friends.

Terrible!!!! Please avoid this place at all costs!!! This restaurant is terribly dirty. We ate at their establishment tonight and the person I was dining with slipped and fell due to liquid on the floor surface. The manager was pompous and completely unaccommodating, he decided that offering him a cocktail would suffice. Unfortunately he is experiencing serious pain in his head, his knee and his sides from the fall. This place was dirty and it is a shame that they take advantage of customers who come wanting to experience the incredible view and leave feeling swindled for an overpriced experience. One good thing was the wait staff was fantastic. Our service from our waiter was wonderful. Management left more than enough to be desired.
